Not seeing anything about this bloke...especially since the news article on him I thought coaches on FF would be going bananas over him.

When it comes to the cheaper players...surely JS is paramount.

Ive got him locked in....why doesnt everyone else?

If he can find himself a place in the team he could be worth a gamble at 171k, especially if Nathan Bock isn't ready for the start of the season. Not a lock at this stage, but one to keep an eye on during the NAB cup.

This bloke is nothing like Bock as a player, Bock is a key back....Joel is a runner.

Im pretty confident he will be in the starting 18...no vests

You are correct, I thought he was a bigger dude than that! But stiill, there might be a backline spot open if Bock doesn't play early. Have to wait and see!

I think its just his price mate, seems to be plenty of back rookies at the minute who are cheaper that look ok for rnd 1 at the minute but should a few of those not play rnd 1 or 2 there could be a stampede in Wilki's direction.

Cant say Id take any notice of NAB cup form either. Been there...done that a few times...total bumsteer

Only thing worth reading about in the NAB cup is injuries.

All tactics, players and teams are totally different to season proper...then theres the different rules also

Cant argue with you there as ive been lead astray by NAB before myself. Thursday night on the eve of round one will tell alot.

yep locked and loaded as 5th defender. should be one of the more improved players.

Just have trouble fitting him in the Suns back line - Harbrow and Broughton will give the run so can not see him

If he shows up in the NAB cup with these guys playing and then named for round 1 would consider along with other low priced defenders named.

Yeah good point Ringo.

Brown is missing a lot of early games, Brennan was even played down back last year and is training out of his skin.

Bluey has been chopping and changing a lot..a very hard team to read who plays where.

As with all players <200K...if they aint playing rd 1...theyre not in my team...guess it will be a wait n see.

Im pretty sure Wilkinson played a few games from a fwd and back pocket last year, as a defensive role, not a play maker...with a bigger tank he may get moved or change responsibilty.

I think Bluey is coaching for his job this year...the team really needs to be settled ASAP...surely one of the fittest players in QLD would be part of that side?
