Apparently having a really good pre season, is another year older = another 12 months of maturity = less brain fades?

I would always think he would be in the top 4 backs? Especially how as time goes on...he is pushing up the wing more, and I have even read somewhere he may run through the mid a bit more...Is in the top few runners this pre season at the Carringbush?

I dont get how these teams that dont have him, have 4 mids 600K+...but then say HShaw is an upgrade target? Surely there is better strategy in making one of the 600K plus an upgrade target that have more chance of dropping 100K or more, and also the $$ saving of not starting that 600K+ player? Then theres the age old knowledge that mid rooks have far more potential in maximising $$ increase...and there is never any shortage of rook mids?

Most of us have been burnt by shaw one season or the next. I dont think I will start him either, prefer the three G's so Shaw will probably end up an upgrade for me as well.

Ive had shaw for the last few years....dont think he had any brain fades last year? Was injured for a few weeks but thats all

No, last year I think he sat out a couple injured?? Only played 18 - which I guess you would take. Just the inconsistency was frustrating.

The recruitment of young can only push him further up the field I think. Can see the reasons for not starting him, but locked in my side right now with Goddard and Gibbs as someone who will have one of the top def averages. Then speculating on broughton at d4. Worth the extra 50-60k over someone like grimes imo.

I was in 4 FF leagues last year and 90% of those players were very ordinary.

Maybe its just the ordinary coaches teams Im seeing at the moment

I was starting to think Id missed something that he was injured or suspended

beware, all 3 have Rnd 13 bye... Only thing putting me off Heater!

I planned very heavily for byes last year...I planned to have a max of 3 doughnuts over 3 weeks...ended up with 12 because of players getting an extra weeks rest, injuries and players getting dropped....was a total trainwreck and I forfeited points leading up to the byes for no reason...the byes was where I planned to make massive ground on overall

there is no way I will consider, plan or do anything about them again...a total waste of time...dont let byes get in the way of how you think your team should look...totally ignore them

Well I have locked Yarran in too so that means I would have 3 + Yaz Rnd 13 bye back premiums...which would just throw my overall chances out completely

I agree here, I planned for the byes, I did me in ultimately. Cross the bridge when you come to it.

No. You miss the point

The season is long..anything can happen leading up to the byes...you are also forfeiting points which has just as much affect on your overall.

Opposition coaches will fluke a smooth sail through the byes by crossing that bridge when they come to it...as stated above

Good points lads but having 4 premiums out for Rnd13 in the one line would be unsalvageable.

My only bye strategy is no more than 3 premiums with same bye on each line.
