Just put together this team. I seem to be going a little light on in the mids compared to most teams, with only 3 premiums. But I think the 3 I have a proven guns, and I have faith that Ball and Embley will be great stepping stones.

Thoughts would be appreciated.

Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Grimes, Stanley, Pittard, Goodes (Docherty, Stevensen)

Mid: Swan, Ablett, Pendlebury, Ball, Embley, Wines, Viney, O'Meara (Crouch, Lonergan)

Ruck: Cox, Leuenberger (O'hAilpin, Gorringe)

Fwd: Franklin, Johnson, Rockliffe, Robinson, Byrnes, Staker (Macaffer, Lee)

How much cash do you have left over? if you have enough to turn Ball or Embely into a premium I would suggest doing so as going into round 1 with only 3 midfield premiums is a risk.

Only $10,000. It is def a risk, and I will def be upgrading Ball to a premium before the season starts if he isn't looking fit enough to give me around 85-90 pts per game.

I don't mind this strategy actually. Your fwd line and backline greatly benefit from it.
Only suggestion is that you could save 70kish on your rookie rucks by looking at Witts, Grundy, Currie, Daw.
Lonergan to Viney saves another 25k
Goodes to Terlich = 20k

That should be enough for Ball to go to a fallen premo like Fyfe, or Mundy. But Ball is still a great pick.

Cheers for the feeback.
I've already got Viney in the mids. Totally agree on the Goodes to Terlich move. It just all depends on NAB cup form.
At the moment I'm thinking/hoping that O'hAilpin can get a few games and has more job security than the cheaper rookie rucks. Although I may be totally off in that regard?
Have been hearing good things about Gorringe, and I also expect him to play plenty of games this season.
Obviously if it seems as if neither of these two have any better job security than the cheaper ruck rookies, I will save some money and downgrade to Daw etc

Oops didnt even see viney there.
Yeh mate exactly, hopefully a few cheapies present themselves in nab cup.
Other than that I think your on the right track

I'd definitely squeeze another mid premium in there, that is where the points are to be made after all.  ;)

Really nice looking team though, Cox in ruck is eating into a lot of cash that could be spent elsewhere, Your call though.  ;D
