Framing a team purely on points, I can play Pearce at D3 or De Boer at F5. Team structure means zip to me I'm trying to get the 22 highest scorers possible for the cash and don't care what line they play on. Get this one right and I'm finally finished until the NAB, must have done at least 300 teams, cheers to all.

pearce, if he gets a running back, midfield role.  nab should show us

tbagrocks

De Boar interests me as like Matty Wright he got more midfield run larer on, if as expected M De gets more midfield time he could be a great pod and or cash maker

Pearce is interesting, but really not worth the risk

Despite the positional difference here De Boar still comes our on top, watch the (blatant commercialization from nab) cup to see how these gues line up

Presto

If I had to choose I would go Pearce, but I am not fond of either.

I think Grimes and Heppell are much better at similar cost.
Likewise Breust or Martin would be my choice instead of de Boer

Thanks for the input guys. Will go De Boer pending NAB form or something unforeseen occurring. Cheers.

Been pondering De Boer as a bit of a smokie POD up forward, but im just not sure with Barlow, Fyfe, Mundy, coming back into top form after all had a below average 2012 may have help inflate his worth last year? i dunno

Sabretooth Tigers

Wonder how long Mundy's injury will keep him out. There's becoming so much to check out in the NAB I may have to put in for annual leave. Cheers.

Ive been watching, waiting for Pearce to go bang...every year at this time I consider him (for probably the last 4 years now)...and Ive managed not to pick him.

Seeing him as a back had him as my 3rd back picked. He is at the prime of his career and maybe a new coach would be good for him. Then the Dockers are on the way up which would give him confidence of winning more games = better fantasy scores

He isnt in my team anymore though...Its a toughy...he is still quite expensive..and if he is any good surely he would have shown some decent consistancy by now?

Could be a masterstroke

He may yet be in my side rd 1 ....or...wait and see what the 1st 10 rounds bring  for him

Pearce will explode this year. Tags will rotate between him, Hill, and Fyfe so he will no longer get the #1 tag week in week out.
Looking at when Port actually won he averaged 101 this year (including a RD1 score of 23 wtf?) then 93 in 2011, and 92 in 2010.
Bit misleading because they didn't actually win that many games. But considering Freo should come close to a top 4 team this year I can see Danyle going 100-105+ fairly easily.

Will have to see how a lot of players are positioned during the NAB.Could come down between De Boer, Pearce and Higgins for two spots. The reports on Higgins are pretty good at the minute, but have I heard this before ? Big, big cheers to all those who are kind enough to have responded.

I reckon Pearce would be a better scorer, I reckon he'll improve at Dockers and will love running around Patersons Staduim.
Matty De Boer won't be the worst option as well, but I'd rather Pearce

Cool9

These blokes are mid-pricers, always high risk. At that price you need them to turn into ultra premiums. Can't see that happening. Money better spent on a high scoring rookie then buy one or two proper premiums elsewhere.

The risk is they don't score enough points, in which case they won't make any money either. Position and/or a trade wasted. Hope this alternative view helps a bit.
