B: Goddard, Gibbs, Broughton, L.Brown, Pittard, Goodes [ Docherty, Terlich ]
M: Swan, Ablett, Boyd, Cotchin, Pendlebury, Murphy, Embley, Viney [ O'Meara, Colquhoun ]
R: Goldstein, Leuenberger [ Daw, McBean ]
F: Franklin, Cox, Knights, Varcoe, Byrnes, Staker [ Macaffer, Lee ]

The best DT scores always come from the midfield so I always like to go strong here and perhaps I've gone one too many premiums.
But I think this year its worth taking some midpriced risks. I think the likes of Embley, Varcoe, Knights, Byrnes and Staker can all increase by 100k and their job security is sound.
I combine this with the thought that defenders score the worst out of all positions so happy to build from rookies here.

SydneyRox

its your last statement that i dont understand? defenders score the worst, so start with more rookie defenders?

think you need to lose premium mid, prob cotchin, get wines then upgrade in your backs, to a grimes or heppell

FOOTY IS BACK

It comes down to picking the best rookies whether its 3 rookie mids or 2 ect ect............. pick the best rookies and that's it. same goes for forwards and defenders.

thefuzz

it's actually quite a good team
though I would go embley to wines (i think they will avg similar, more the point I think Embley is at more risk of a vest)
then use this to upgrade probably varcoe to a martin or a wright (or better if you can afford it). By turning buddy into someone like Robbo you would be able to turn varcoe into Rocky I think.

Great midfield! I'm starting with 6 premiums plus Embley as well, but not quite as expensive as your premiums..! Really going all guns blazing in the midfield while still fitting in Franklin and Cox. I'd downgrade Franklin to maybe Nick Riewoldt or Rockliff, and downgrade Luke Brown to Stevenson. Use the left over money to start with, or maybe Colquhoun -> Wines.

8.75/10 for mine though, very nice looking team.

Still think your backs are a little weak. Would prefer Boyd over Cotchin, like Redden though.

Fwd line is better, but maybe downgrading Buddy to Stevie J or Robbo will allow a backline upgrade which you still need.

Could you be a little more specific about what you would actually recommend?
Eg: You suggest dropping Franklin to Stevie J or Robbo. Then what would be the backline upgrade?

I don't mind this at all, as long as your back rooks are looking like playing quality time in their respective teams. It could all go to shower if you have 1 or 2 vested scores from these players. That being said it could happen on any line. But we would think mid rooks would be less likely to.

Wright is an interesting one, I can't see him improving his average too much. Maybe around the 88ish mark. Have you considered Sylvia? Priced at around 40k cheaper and is a proven 90-95 scorer.

Other than that a very nice team there bud.
