Looking for a unique-ish F2 to go with Cox, SteveJ and Dusty in my 4 premium forward line.

Narrowed it down to these 2 but cant slip them...

Any help would be appreciated :)

Walker can hit higher highs I think Mr J.

He did score a couple of under 50's last year - v Hawthorn (who are a much better team) and Geelong. Can't remember what went on there but maybe a concussion? Take those out and his average is pretty impressive.

I think his influence has a higher ceiling because SC scoring puts great value on late goals that change the game.

Also a pretty soft draw up front for Adelaide.

Zorko = DT.

Only down side is temper temper and possible suspension.

Walker for me.

Also, don't need Zorko's DPP with SJ and Dusty already there.

Good luck and may you change your mind several more times.

SydneyRox

walker for me. will 2nd year blues hit zorko?

tbagrocks

Seriously J? Unless you're thinking the Zorro is going 110 wtf are you thinking? :o

I wouldn't blame people for starting Zorro but the great man is about to go boom!

Quick, where's that Mexican girl again :P But yeah Zorro is an upgrade target for me, but those who start him could reap in waves, but it won't be at Taylors expence ;)

I would go Zorko.. only because I dont like Tex.  He has anger issues and has trouble controlling them.  Missed a few games last year because he irresponsibly pushed a dude into a goal post... Wasnt the first on field issue either.

I also dont like H Shaw... he f'ed me over in 2011 with his stupidity.

I have zorko in DT, not SC though.

Zorko all day. Tex has not played more than 18 games in 4 seasons, so if he equals his best season you will only be stuck with 4 rookie scores/donuts. He also has the knack of throwing in a 39 which means his price can drop mid season, making him an ideal upgrade target, but I think he is this only at best. I think he has the potential to average 110 this year but I just cannot pick players who miss that many rounds.

Zorko on the other hand hasn't missed a game since debuting  ;) and if you take out his 18 from his vested first game he averaged 105 last year. Can also see him averaging 110 this year but more importantly playing 22 games.

Zorko all day for mine.

batt

Pure mid over a KPP any day.  Especially when the KPP had the easiest SOS in the AFL last year.

tor01doc

batt,

Good point but maybe more of a no brainer in DT rather than SC.

A big pack mark followed by a game changing late goal can score big time in SC, which is why SC is better than DT  and which is why Walker will be popular despite being KPP.

Top forwards by $$

Buddy KPP
Nic Nat Ruck
Cox Ruck
Pav KPP
Ryder Ruck
Roughead Ruck/KPP
Walker KPP

That's the top 7 - not a pure mid to be seen.

Ringo

But then the next 5 are mid/f DPP in

Chapman, Paul
Zorko, Dayne
Bartel, Jimmy
Rioli, Cyril
Rockliff, Tom

However personally I have reservations on Zorko this year and as you know I am a one eyed Lions supporter, Despite being mature aged still only played 15 full games of AFL football.  Opposing clubs will start to work him out and reduce his effectiveness.  One of Zorks lowest scores of the season was the last game against Bulldogs when he was tagged by Picken so wondering whether this may be an indication.  Will be watching first few games with interest and he may become an upgrade target.

Finally tbh staying away from both at the moment.

Now ringo, I stopped where I stopped for a reason.

Your detective work has undermined my argument a bit, but still, think back to Riewoldt as well.

These super KPP's are worthy selections.

Are Chapman, SJ, Bartel going to keep on scoring so well in a team on the slide and with aging legs?

Will Rocky bounce back?

Time will tell.

Ringo

Just had to balance a bit Tor. I am looking at a different KPP for my team atm.

Agree on the KPP and SC scoring even back to Brown in his heyday.

Only one of the 5 I will pick is Rocky,  Have a smokey KPP in mind for F3 averaged 95 last year and with similar improvement this year will average 105+ imo.

Ringo

Yes Tor seriously considering him.

Doctor if you're going by price why don't you look at prices at the end of last year?
Dayne Beams, Patrick Dangerfield, Steele Sidebottom..
The only reason they aren't their anymore was because they became better than just a fwd line player!
People thought Zorko was going to be mid only this year and I think it's a taste of things to come. Can see Zorko going the same way as those blokes as early as next year - becoming a put mid averaging 110+

Not knocking Tex but all KPPs will have a bad day at some point and that's why they are good upgrade targets. It's why people aren't starting with Franklin - because they know all it takes is an 80 off to bring down his price enough to get him in a little cheaper

tor01doc

True oh feisty one but Zorko yet to really feel the pressure of a tight tag from what I saw last year.

Admittedly not a lot of Brisbane was worth watching, but the games I saw he ran pretty free.

Rockliff for me at this stage felsty.

Cheers
