I actually see him as 90+ this year, I was being conservative :P
Wow ok. Any particular reason?

I think he's taken a long time to develop due to poor coaching/ strategies... melbourne will try to be competitive this year, and imo I think he'll show why he was taken at  first draft pick.

I reckon we'll probably see him and grimes rotating out through hb and the mids, he wont be thrown forward randomly like he was last year with clark coming back.

Do you see Berger playing round one?

I know he didn't play the NAB 1 but do you see him as a lock(zip) or a risk?  Or are Brissy just wrapping him in wool for the time being?

I get the feeling ruck choices are make or break this year.
lol.

I agree with the ruck choices being pivotal this year. Personally, I think brisbane are just wrapping him in wool, it's a very serious injury, but he's had enough time to recover from it fully...  there's just no point in risking him in NAB, especially when their competitors for round 1 and 2 of nab were either poor teams, or had average rucks.

I think he *should* be able to make it back for round 1. If not, I'll probably trade him to stefan martin.

Yeh but do you see him going higher than Goddard, Gibbs, Scotland, Stanley, Grimes, Hanley, Waters, Heppell, Birchall and even guys like Hartlett, Broughts, Shaw and Duff who had poor 2012s?
I guess he could sneak in there if he went 88ish.

Throw Suckling in there too! And Suban with all this hype  ??? hahaha

Reilly + Rockliff

What are your thoughts on Patton? He seems set to do well especially after the nab cup games. Is he worth playing at f6 over a mid pricer like Varcoe?

I know this is Zips area but Rioli is in a moon boot for two weeks and heath scotland will miss the first 2 games of the year due a club imposed suspension!

Therefore Reilly and Rockliff

On one hand, rioli's injured.

On the otherhand, Reilly's very average.

so... dunno... I'd go rockliff and another back :P

I went and watched  gws NAB replays, and he looked really good. I'm not sure how his delivery will be through the actual season though :/ He's in my team atm, but keep monitoring at this stage. If he performs like he did last week, then I'd take him over varcoe

J.Grimes 95 + D.Stanley 93 + Wines 78 + Mitchell 80 + O'meara 75 + I.Maric 95= 516
v
Docherty 65 + Terlich 65 + D.Beams 110 + M.Murphy 110 + Embley 90+ Varcoe 70= 510

tbh I substantially prefer option 1. The point difference isnt much, but I've got it outscoring more and making more cash as well. Is cox in your forward line? If not, I'd prefer him over maric as the first ruck.

*edit* Just realised that he probably is in your forward line option one and option 2 he's dppd as first ruck.

Grimes 95 + Vlastiun 65+ Wines 80=240

or

H.Shaw 90 + L.Stevenson 65 + Embley 90=245

ive got it pretty even.

I feel like option 1 entails less risk though.

What are your thoughts on Yarran this year with Mick at the helm?

Would you have him in def.or go cheaper with the likes of Suban/Russell or slightly dearer (Golby) or any other defender around that price range?
