One of my friends supports Collingwood... Lived in Cairns all his life, 40 hours drive/5 hours flight from Melbourne, wtf?

There was a Collingwood long before there was any QLD club in the AFL/VFL to support.

I just supported them too long (30 years + now) to go changing to a local team just because they created one. even when they won 3 flags in a row, the bandwagon i did not get on. Loyalty to the mighty black and white.

Still I support my local clubs and like to see them do well.

If your mate lives in Cairns isn't he supposed to support one of those travelling Vic teams anyway..... who sell their souls home games :)
