ok so who can give me the most simple but informative explanation on the scoring system in the bye rounds.

my understanding is in rounds 11 12 and 13 your top 18 scoring players will score for your team. position is irrelevant. eg all your forwards and mids might score but none of your forwards (if that was possible) and selecting emergencies is irrelevant as if a non emergency scores higher then and emergency, then the non emergencies score will count first.

is this correct?

Really? So we don't have to pick emergencies it's just your 18 top scoring players whose points go towards it?

Just to clarify you must have 18 scoring players on the field as per the rule below. (emergencies will not count based on this)

"BYE ROUNDS - 'Best 18' Scoring - to better-reflect the actual competition, during the multi-bye Rounds 11, 12 and 13, you'll score from your best 18 players only in any position, from your selected, on-field Starting 22. You'll still need to ensure that your best available players are in your starting 22 line-up."
