Kinda new to this all but this is what I've come up with.

Backs: Goddard, Hartlett, Scotland, Gibbs, Goodes, Stevenson (Litherland, Terlich)
Mids: Swan, Ablett, Thompson, Ball, Embley, Gibson, Crouch, O'Meara, (Viney, Longergon)
Rucks: Jacobs, Luenberger (Currie, Naismith)
Forwards: Franklin, Johnson, Bartell, Rockliff, Daniher, MacAffer, (Schloithe, Lee)

What you think?

Colliwobblers

a lot of id pricers which can burn you.

not a bad effort tho, watch nab cup closely will make up your mind on a lot of those guys as in

ball, embley, macaffer, gibson,

luenburger (probably wont be 100% but worth having anyway)

I would drop ball or embley go one or the other and upgrade gibson.

rooks don' matter at this stage but think patton in 2012 when you think daniher he may hit the ground running but most KPP take a long time to develop and he is dear for a rook.

i have doubts about crocuchs job security and vest wearing liklihood, crows midfield is not short of players and he is just a kid but again watch nab cup lonergan and o'meara are solid picks , litherland and scholoithehehreehr im not sure on :)

lee is on everyones radar but he just makes me think of ledger starring in the vfl all 2012 and not getting a run in the afl. i won't be picking him for that reason.

goodes is a rookie but again in most peoples teams, unless i am missing something or he isnt upgraded ahead of the first bounce he cant be in your team

scotland is out for the first two games so change him to someone else with 2 trades per round you dont need him from round 1.

hartlet is brave but could be genius same as grimes was last season. ( grimes is who i would replace scotland with IMO or hanley maybe)

beams or pendles ?

good work mate and good luck for 2013.

Pfeiffer81

Cheers mate, I'll have a look and consider what you've mentioned, thanks, going  back to the drawing board now.

Pfeiffer81

I've got $393,500 looking for a midfielder, any ideas?

Pfeiffer81

Colliwobblers

#5
for that money there isnt much i would do, i would take ball or embley as cash cows that should score you close to premium points while they cash up for you.

midfield players around that price ($400,000) aren't likely to be keepers or make you much cash so i would avoid.

Pfeiffer81

OK, so I've gone with:

Goddard, Grimes, Gibbs, Hartlet, Staker, Terlich, (Litherland, Frost).

Swan, Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, Ball, Lonergon, O'Meara, Viney, (Wines, Williams).

Jacobs, Luenberger, (Currie, Naismith).

Franklin, Cox, Chapman, Bartel, Pettard, Menzel, (Lee, Richards).

Not too interested at this stage in the 2nd player on the bench for each position, I have $200 left over, sat here for awhile last night doing this, haha.

What you all think??? Feedback would be much appreciated.

Pfeiffer81

I thought about replacing Pettard with Varcoe also, thoughts?

Colliwobblers

i like chapman, not sold on bartel think others may average higher.

i would take varcoe over knights over byres over pettard for that mid priced fwd but watch nab cup to see who of them all is flying.

you almost have to have macaffer too if he is fully fit he is a walk up start in the pies best 22. and rookie priced.

make sure hartlett is fit bit huge upside pick

cant fault it otherwise apart from sorting your rooks out during nab cup and after round 1 teams are announced it is looking good.

Pfeiffer81

OK, how does this sound? Took out Bartel and put in Steve J and took out Pettard and put in Varcoe, seem a little better?

Pfeiffer81

and took out Menzel for Macaffer.

Colliwobblers

i like all of that don't think menzel will be ready for round 1 anyway.

keep asking for opinions, lots of clever people on this site willing to give advice, and i'm sure your team will change many times between now and the first bounce, especially once the nab cup starts :)
