What do you reckon?

Been playing around for ages, still not 100% sure on it - feels strange not having GAJ in there - plus also very keen on Beams. What do you think?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

A 5 gun backline is just too risky for the money, why would you not srart Goddard who's at Essendon, the Bombers killed it early for the last two years so Gods a massive risk to leave out

Nice team though, Priddis and Bartel deffinitely uniques, J Bartel coming of an injury though

Backline very risky and you're banking on these players to be top line keepers, some of them should only be upgrade targets

But back your gut mate, if you like the player then stick with him

kilbluff1985

really well balanced team

Goddard is a must have will be playing Midfield at Essendon that's partly why he left

i'd rather a young guy over Priddis that could improve like Shuey

otherwise i like it

That was actually one of the picks I tossed up over for awhile - I ended up going with Priddis because of his sub affected score of like 20 last year which killed his average by about 4 or 5 points, which means he's effectively coming off of a 115 year and priced as a 110. I like Shuey, but he didn't show much ability to break a tag last year, and poses a risk in that regard.

Shuey (Tagged 3 times last year - according to FF player profile)
Rd 12 - Tagged by Gibbs - 95
Rd 19 - Tagged by Crowley - 40
Rd 21 - Tagged by Cornes - 80

For an average score of 71 or 72 whilst tagged...

The backline is another thing, I'm backing Heppell to increase his average, as I've stuck with him for the past two years and don't want to miss the breakout - ditto D Mart. Bit worried about the drug activity with D mart though - have heard some disturbing rumours.

Thanks for the feedback boys!

Yarran --> rook.
Grimes/Hepp --> Goddard
Priddis --> Beams

i like that but personally i'd take Heppel down to a rook instead of Yarran.....i think with Goddard's arrival it just puts him one further peg down in the midfield pecking order....he will be consistent but not really banging out 90+ scores to often

It's a good start, I would look at downgrading yarren to a rookie, and upgrade other heppell to Goddard or fyfe to cotchin/ beams.

Your mids are good but I'd work to upgrade fyfe.

Rucks are good.

I personally wouldn't go with Martin and downgrade Byrnes to macaffer to free up some cash

Otherwise your teams good. 7.5/10

Alright, I'll take that advice on board - might make a few changes and get back to you! Cheers :)

the captain

Def: Seems a little weak with Gibbs as your top defender, getting Goddard in for either Hanley or Grimes is probably your best bet, but like the overall structure.

Mid: Strong, nice POD with Priddis who always scores well but seems to be off the radar of most people.

Ruck: Good

Fwd: Bartel is a bit of a risk, could pay off but I'd go with someone a little safer or maybe Broughton to free up some cash, but that's just me. Also personally I'd go for Varcoe over Byrnes, but again that's just because I personally don't trust Byrnes to score very well.

Very good team overall though.
