According to my calculations you can afford Mullett to any prem defender up to $553k.  Brings quite a few into play and will get you your 4th keeper,  Know it depletes cash but can rebuild next week with Lonergan on the bubble.

colmullet

well the plan for next week was to grab Priddis for Wines and Heath to a back premo

is lonergan next week a better option than Vlas or Hannath this week?

other problem is who the hell are good premo backmen this year? haha they are dropping like flies and the only one i have liked is Hanley who is quite expensive and has a pretty tough run coming up, either than or someone like Hibberd/Malceski who are both in good form

colmullet

if i go that way it will be Byrnes -> Stevie J, Mullet -> Shaw (Goodies to mids bench) this week and then

Heath -> Lonergan (Goodes back down back to be on field on his return), Wines -> Priddis next week

Ringo

Do not know what your thoughts are on Harbrow but he seems to be flying under the radar and playing well in a side under the pump.  Has a lowish B/e this week which he should achieve.

colmullet

true he does look good but will he be in the top 10 or so defenders?

tor01doc

Can you afford H Shaw and SJ if you oust Mullett and Byrnes?

2 pretty good long term value keepers both about to become more expensive.

colmullet

yeah thats what ive done this week then next week Heath -> Lonergan and Wines -> Priddis

felsty

Like the plan mullet! Looks good :)

colmullet

ok, for this week it looks like 2/3 of the port boys have to go, they are all pretty much maxed out and have put up 3 low scores with respect to their prices.

Heath -> Mid Rookie (Lonergan?) is the first move to get Goodes down back and on the field to provide better cover.

the next move has many options

1. Wines -> Low breakeven rookie (Kerridge/Vlastuin/Daw)
2. Neade -> Low breakeven forward rookie (Kerridge/Kennedy maybe?..)
3. Neade -> Franklin (Just able to do this along with the Heath -> Lonergan trade)
4. Wines -> Franklin (Keeps a little more money in the kit)
5. Wines -> Priddis
6. Jacobs -> Goldstein (probably other priorities to look at first but it is an option)

lots and lots of options, what do we think? im leaning towards 1 or 3

colmullet

well teams being named has thrown a few spanners in the works with donut eating down back

im thinking now of going Heath -> Thurlow and Neade -> Buddy and moving Goodes onto the field down back and resting Gibbs on the mids bench with Viney so i avoid all donuts

however is it worth missing the donut by grabbing Thurlow a week early and missing out on Lonergan until maybe next week after his first price rise

tor01doc

Have you considered sending Gibbs packing, moving Goodes back, grabbing Lonergan and seeing who you can afford if you get rid of

1: Wines - so a gun mid

2: Neade - a gun forward?

Would leave you with a decent stash to get a slightly cheaper than this week premium like Hanley or, Selwood for example.

I just hate that much money on my bench: ie over $1 mill and you get a donut to boot!

colmullet

yeah it does hurt, but for me i think if i was to get rid of Gibbs it would probably have to have been done a few weeks ago, i mean chances are he fronts up next week

it is a thought though your right

colmullet

is it worth it............

Goodes -> Lonergan
Wines - J. Selwood

leaves me with a grand total of $100 in the kitty with Staker to come in next week for some cash

tor01doc

At first glance - no.

Is your latest team posted somewhere?

Goodes looks too reliable to trade out at this stage.

Hasn't Lonergan just gone up a lot?

colmullet

yeah team is as posted above except with Heath -> Thurlow and Neade -> Buddy

also have Gibbs on my mids bench and Goodes down back
