Like you're team mate!!

DEF: Like it! Like Watts and Yarran risks. Not strongest line but good rooks picked. 8/10

MID: LOVE IT!! 9.5/10!! Only thing is I would have Swanny over Pendles as Swan has been tearing it up and Pendles has had a few niggles over the preseason. That's petty though.

RUC: Standard. Solid. Nice. Jacobs a good pick. Currie looks great. If McBean is being used as a loophole pick get in Sinclair. Don't have time to tell you why but I'll let you know why soon! 8.5/10

FWD: Premiums are great. I'd drop Christensen (Not convinced at all) and one of Byrnes/Varcoe for a premium. Too many mid pricers that are unproven SC performers unfortunately. Jake Neade is a jet from PA and I'd have him in over Lee. 7.5/10

OVERALL: 8.5/10. Nice team, very solid indeed. I'll be back with a few more things later!

P.S: I've got you covered in the fantasy A-League comp!

haha thankx man, yeah christensen will be monitored through the NAB to see if he will will be worth the punt, if i can find another fwd rookie named round 1 i will downgrade one of varcoe and burns and hopefully get Jack back into the mids for Mudy....got a feeling he will explode this year

colmullet

Ok....one last fiddle and i think as far as premiums go this is the way i'm going to go.....hopefully i can get all playing rookies in without having to compromise it though.....only a grand total of $100 left in the kitty with this team....using every last cent :p

Liking it CM! Changes are good. Stevie J potentially rubbed out Rd1? Didn't see the incident last night but some are saying it could push him over as he has 80 carry over points.

Love it all, great choices. 9/10 now for me. Only thing that brings you down a touch is that back line being a bit weak, but if you like Yarran and Watts then go for it. Would also like to see Fyfe/Gaff in the mids as a breakout contender. But 5 premiums is mint!!

colmullet

yeah ill keep an eye on Stevie, if he starts roiund 1 he's almost a must have, said he will be getting more mid time this year which is gold for him

Well....Johnson getting rubbed out for round 1 means he will be an upgrade target rather than a starter. Didn't fancy to many options under him so decided to bring in Buddy

Stevie J -> Buddy
Cotchin -> Barlow

Wanted to make Jack to barlow and keep cotchin but feel just short on money, Cotchin is the least likely to go huge consistently putting him out of upgrade range so i should be able to easily pick him up later down the track

Also look at Shuey, Fyfe, Mundy and Gaff over Barlow i reckon.

Personally I think Shuey will break into the elite category this year. Also all his teem mates have labelled him the best midfielder at the club...which is a pretty big call...but his stats over the last 3 years show he's in for a big 2013

Fyfe...we all know he's elite when he's fit.

Mundy...showed a lot at the end of last year coming back from injury

Gaff...showed promise

colmullet

yeah they are all good points....i do like Shuey but he is a little out of reach price wise with my team they way its set up at the moment and im not as convinced that he can turn into a 115+ average just yet and play 22 games without a brain snap :p

Fyfe is another option for sure and he was elite...as a forward, would have to step it up even more to be considered an elite mid. He also has that bung shoulder which could pop out anytime this year and i'd like to see that shoulder go through a year unscaved before i consider him.

Mundy was the other i was tossing around with Barlow, i dunno i think Barlow is an absolute ball magnet and is the most likely out of all this group to pump out 115+ average and play all 22 games, plus hes only currently n 1.4% of teams!!!

t.thomas6

All great points.

I think Shuey can get there. He might have the 1 or 2 games where he may have that brain snap...but again...it's a risk if you want to go for that breakout player I guess.

I'd consider Fyfe a premium mid too. Good example is when he came back from the shoulder...he look REALLY good, yet the shoulder is a concern...and always will be.

Barlow is better than Mundy atm. But who knows...Mundy may emerge this year...again...an unknown.

Barlow is a great POD though

Ringo

Did not like Hawkins, Breust, Christensen or Robbo as a downgrade for Stevie J to keep your strong mid line.

colmullet

yeah i dunno, i did think about it Ringo, i just thought downgrading in the middle i would lose less than downgrading up forward, it was basically

Buddy + Barlow
or
Chrsitensen/Martin/Bruest/Wright + Cotchin

which one do u think would have been best?

Ringo

Interesting question coolmullet

Much has been made of Buddys bad draw and the teams he play in the first 7 rounds (take out his 236 against Kangas and he averages just on 100 against the other 6.

So say Buddy 100 and Barlow 95 = 195
v
Cotch 115 and say Christensen lifting his average to say 85 minimum = 200

Just go with your gut as to what you think is best.

Latest Re-incarnation of my team, would love some thoughts guys!

Would wait a week or two before getting off the Goldy bandwagon. Admittedly first outing did not look good.
So many people looking at Maric but the disadavantage is unless Berger is upgraded by Round 11 both share the bye.

Tambling an interesting selection but I would like to see him play a full game before locking in and see if he makes Crows final 22.  If he maintains form and is named will be a nice little cash earner as even if he averages 70 will make you a $100k.

With this latest team think you may have over capitilised a little with 7 players costing greater than $600k and taking up at least 50% of salary cap. may tweak a little if you like.

Solid team though all guns and rookies with exception of Berger and perhaps Watts who may be a keeper for you.
12 definite keepers here plus Watts so solid base to upgrade from.
