MID: Too strong imo. Downgrade Ball to a rookie, say Lonergan, and lose Boyd for Mundy/Fyfe. That should free up some money. 7/10
RUC: Upgrade Martin to a premium. 6/10
FWD: Downgrade Buddy to SJ or Pav or someone. Then upgrade Dick someone. Your Forward line is to weak. 5/10

Don't be. If you take out his 200, he averaged... 94 in 2012. That's less than Pav. His next highest score was 130 in Rnd 1.
In 2011, his highest score was 144.
In 2012, he had 6 scores below 80, and one 81

So what I'm saying is, if you do pick Buddy, don't expect any 150+, or even 130+, scores in 2013. He isn't God.

Not starting buddy is a 'safe' calculated risk. His early draw is pretty hard, his last few years he hasnt exactly come out firing in the early rounds, contract talks floating around his head, all points to him dropping in price.

dont stress about your rookies yet, the NAB cup will answer most your questions

the players l'd look at changing are

*Boyd.....great player , but his price will remaining the same or even drop a little.....look at him as an upgrade target
-get in a rookie instead, go for Wines, at his price you can afford to change your mind

*Martin....just a bad choice. lf you want value go for Goldstien or Bellchambers, both should be consistent scorers and increase in value. Or if you want to look for big risk/big return Sandi might be your man.......also get Rowe instead of Witts for the mpp link with Cox. l know with the new rules its alot less important, but its something you might need if things go wrong

Forwards......way too thin.
*Not convinced by Daniher and Dick....both need upgrading
Players to look at include Martin (Dustin), Cloke, Knights, Varcoe, Byrnes, Morton  :o, JJKennedy, Lecras ......again the NAB cup willl go along way to deciding which are up and about
*Franklin....l'm wary of him because of the contract negotiations being put off......may be better as an upgrade target. Then the problem is who to chose. The obvious ones are StevieJ and Pav, but Pav has injury issues and Stevie isnt getting any younger. So it could be a case of spreading the cash across your fwd line as a whole and see how it looks

Buddy has been the best forward to pick for a few years, if you like him pick him, I think he was below his best last year and I won't be starting him but don't let others tell you not to ;) we can't all have the same team

Definitely need to drop one of the mid prices mids or a premo just feel you need to take advantage of the mid rookies. I would spend that extra money up front I think you need at least 4 premo forwards

Lets look at 2012...

Number #1 in overall points scored with 2535 points in total at an average of 115.23. He ranked 4th for the year in average yet he was only the 11th most selected mid come round 23. How does the number 1 point scorer in 2012 end the year as number 11 in the ‘most selected mid’ list? Great question. Let’s try and see why.

Durability - Boyd has missed 2 games over the past 7 years. Let me repeat myself for you... 7 YEARS! He has played 152 out of the last 154 games. So that rules out durability as a reason for the lack of love.

Ceiling - What about his ceiling? Top score of 162 in round 7 against the Roos. Can’t be that then...

Consistency - 22 games played in 2012 for a return of 17 x 100+ scores. Nope, I am starting to struggle for possible reason why.

Tag Expected for 2013? - Just wait a second, he plays for the Bulldogs, his disposal isn’t seen as damaging or effective enough. I got nothing.

Having said that, he isn't in my current squad due to lack of cash. :P

I'd love to fit him in from the start but I just can't.  He will just about be my first upgrade target I reckon.
