Hey guys,
This is the team I've selected initially. Please rate each line out of 10 and comment on how I can improve it :) Comments and rates will be returned to each of you :)

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Grimes, Bock, Vlastuin, B. Goodes (Docherty, Van Unen)
Mids: Ablett, Pendles, Watson, Danger, Cotchin, Ball, Wines, O'Meara (Crouch, Viney)
Rucks: Goldstein, Leuey (Grundy, Daw)
Fwds: Franklin, Cox, Broughton, Varcoe, Daniher, Staker (Macaffer, B. Kennedy)

I feel like my FWD's are lacking due to the 5, 1, 2 MID structure...any ideas here too?

Cheers coaches!  :-*

Bpck is a waste of space

mids are good but don't need Ball

rucks good

forwards are a worry

downgrade Ball to a rookie and upgrade Bock+Varcoe

gets 7/10 from me

Ringo

Solid first up effort - Not commentating on rookies

Def: Bock will struggle to play round 1 so look at replacement.
Mids: Solid but would replace Ball with a low price rookie playing
Rucks - Good
Fwds - Have issue with Broughton at 3 - Watch too to ensure he is not being used as a KPP.

Not sure of your cash situation but I would look at this downgrade ball to a playing rookie. - Replace Bock with Yarran and also upgrade Varcoe if possible.  Replace Broughton if used as KPP,

Thanks for the input guys :) both got a cheer :P

Ok so this is Team 2 going with your suggestions:

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Grimes, Yarran, Vlaustin, B. Goodes (Colqhoun, Docherty)
Mids: Ablett, Pendles, Watson, Danger, Cotchin, Wines, O'Meara, Viney (Crouch, T. Mitchell)
Rucks: Goldy, Leuey (Grundy, Daw)
Fwds: Buddy, Cox, S. Johnson, Le Cras, Daniher, Staker (Macaffer, B. Kennedy)
Bank Balance: $7,400

So...I basically went:
Bock to Yarran (should be used well under Mick this year)
Ball to T. Mitchell (heard a lot about him) and then Viney on the field
Broughton and Varcoe for SteveyJ and Le Cras (although I'm thinking Le Cras MIGHT be too expensive considering how long he was out for)

So I'm also thinking maybe downgrading Le Cras and swapping SteveyJ for Super Pav. Good idea or not?

Let me know!!! More cheers to come!!! :P

DEF: Looks good, Yarran a bit of a risk but has the potential to break out in SC this year especially under a new coach.

MIDS: Very strong, I like seeing teams with 5 premiums like yours.

RUCKS: Standard, no issues here.

FWDS: I think Buddy is a better upgrade target due to the Hawks very hard draw at the start of the season. I would downgrade him and with the cash made from doing that I would upgrade LeCras to a premium.

Buddy/LeCras to Rockliff/Martin would be perfect.

8/10 at the moment mate.

t.thomas6

Cheers mate. I will take that advice on board. A cheer for you too haha.
Any other ideas guys?

Ringo

can not add anything more to Bens suggestion will set team up nicely structure wise as well.

Just keep an eye on Jack Grimes in the NAB cup having an interupted pre season and has yet to play a full season for the Dees. Maybe look at alternative but your choice.

t.thomas6

Cheers Ringo :)
Do you reckon it'd be a better idea to go:
Buddy, Roughy/Rocky, SteveyJ, Broughton/Martin, Staker, Daniher?

or

Cox, Roughy/Rocky, SteveyJ, Broughton/Martin, Staker, Daniher?

big_cox21

i would take out daniher. he isnt expected to play alot this year. like 5-10 games. hirdy has said since then that he is training the house down and could get more games but still he is expensive and a KPP. bombers are stacked with KPP's. like really really stacked lol

Ringo

I would go the second option - Just personal but will think Buddy may struggle early with tough draw and could be a sound upgrade target. Cox will really get off to a great start with absence of Nat.

t.thomas6

Great feedback guys :) some more questions for you both :P

coxy: any ideas who to swap Big Joe for???? any thoughts will be greatly appreciated :)

Ringo: i think you can coxy are right...might bite the bullet on Buddy and wait to see if his price drops. now should i go with Martin over Broughton? they both brought me pain last year :( and Roughy or Steveyj? (P.S. you can both answer this if you like :D ) haha

Jay

Good team. I'm not a fan of Vlastuin myself, would prefer to see Pittard or Terlich there.

Great mids and rucks

Lecras is an interested one - would prefer Byrnes or JJK myself, but up to you

Good luck, let me know if you need any help :)

D: very solid line, love the inclusion of Yarran and I just want to see him first before I go swooping in ;) I think a few rookies here might be too expensive with the quality throughout the defence at a cheaper price.. I would be putting that cash into Kane Mitchell or Jesse Lonergan in the mids
M: very nice line, can't fault it at all
R: standard
F: just personal but I'm trying to get Buddy when he is cheaper but other than that I love the picks. Don't worry about le cras. Was ready to go in September last year so he had had a full preseason to get back onto his feet and reach full fitness! Only thing I would do is Kennedy out for Tom Lee.. Should break into Saints 22 and had an easy start to the year

Ringo

Have you considered Hawkins as an alternative as well? Now that he has established himself as the Cats KPP may go bang this year, (Pods being trialled as defender this year).

I would take Hawkins over Broughton or Martin
but Johnson and Roughie would be a toss of the coin.
