Yeh he ripped it up in the intra-club. I also think Moloney will easily get back to around the $500-$550 at the Lions and is much less of a risk than say a Ball or Embley. On the Shuey front, I reckon he'll go elite this year. He's been trending up in a BIG way over the past 3 seasons. Another option would be Mundy I guess...may check the NAB Cup first :P

Was also thinking of putting Buddy back in and having Krakouer at F4 leaving Hawkins out. He killed it in their intra-club and could be a great cash cow along with Varcoe plus some possible good scores for both :P

What do you guys think?

RedCats

Had Moloney in my team but dropped him out. Still uneasy about it as I think you are right. Downgraded him to Wines, upgraded Fyfe to Kennedy so it is a bit of robbing Peter to pay Paul. Wouldn't want two in the mids and Moloney looks the most likely to give good returns with scores and cash.

Hawkins is too much of a gamble for me. Certainly worth considering this year but I still am worried about his consistency. I love having a big tall back at the Cattery, but still need to see Hawkins go a full season and not go walkabout for a month or so in the middle of the year. Might be the year he does it. Would prefer to have Buddy though, I think he is a must have.

Krakouer is too much of a candidate to be donning the vest. The have too many small forward options at Collingwood at the moment and Krakouer can be a bit of a burst player making him the perfect fit for Sub.

Haha yeh.
Just went Moloney to Wines (I reckon Wines will get close scores to Moloney for the first few weeks) and then Krak to de Boer (he'll be mostly in the mids this year :P meaning higher scores than his 85 swinging between FWD and MID.

Thoughts?

I think I'll have to wait for the NAB cup and see how Wines goes. If he doesn't fire, I'll look at going back to where I was and bringing a mid price in. Too much speculation at the moment, but I reckon you should be pretty happy with where you're at, I'm pretty happy with mine, just a matter of seeing what happens in the next few weeks.

Woo! 50 posts! Keep up the good work coaches! Comment/post away!

Ok guys,
Here is the NEW revamped team so far. I'm really happy with it at the moment :D I can see 15 potential premiums here if a few step up :)

Please pick it apart, comment and rate each line :)

Cash: $8,700

POD's:
- Duffield over Birchall - without Broughton hopefully he'll step up (will monitor NAB Cup etc)
- Shuey - I reckon he'll step into the "elite" echelon this year
- Fyfe - is basically elite when he's fit and firing...which I expect him to do with a full pre-season
- de Boer - really came into his own last year and trending similarly to Shuey average-points-per-season wise..and with increased midfield time I can definitely see his numbers increasing from his 85 average of 2012 played a lot in the FWD line.

Thoughts???
Comments???
Rates???

Thanks coaches :)
:P :P :P

I love this team only worry would be maybe 1 premium short in the middlw but other than that is perfect. Please rate mine http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,72405.0.html

Thanks for the feedback hoon1 :)

I'm considering Shuey as my 5th "premium" as I reckon he'll "breakout" this year and push his way into the elite echelon.
Also when Fyfe is fit and firing we all know he's as good as if not a premium mid :)
So those two are risks for potential reward this year :)

A few comments if you don't mind...

De Boer had 11 scores under 80 - out of the 21 games he played ie >50% < 80 points - not good enough for my team.

Duff - not as reliable statistically as Birchall who will also benefit Lake's arrival @ Glenferrie (showing my age here) and push his average even higher.

Not sure Vlastuin is worth the extra coin.

Van Unen - JS?? Maybe Stevenson if you're worried.

Can't see BOTH your rucks being top 5 or 6. Maybe Goldy, so Leue for money is a good idea.

Prefer others over Goldy but he is popular - due to low price which may well indicate what he's worth.

Main issue is de Boer but you seem keen so good team.

Thanks again tor

de Boer looked pretty good at the back end of last year...also spent more time up fwd last year and looks to be more mid in 2013...so it IS a risk...i know...but if he can push that average up, could be a nice unique pick

Only chose Duffman over Birchall due to Birchall's tougher draw. I hope Lake CAN help him out...hopefully we can see them working in tandem in the NAB...then i'll make the choice

I think Goldy can make the Top 5-6 and get some good scores. Leuey is an upgrade target :)

Vlastuin - liked what I saw in the NAB so far...but will keep watch...is a bit pricey
Van Unen - can easily be swapped if JS is not solid in 2013 :) but did pretty will in the NAB

Who would you swap for those you qustioned???

Back rookie - Docherty, Stevenson, ? Pittard

Back semi automatic gun - Hanley, Birchall, I like Grimes, and H Shaw but I will get him if he stays premium later in the year

Rucks - Jacobs, McEvoy for me - one of + Leue with Cox forward and NicNat to come in fwds

Also Roughead over Ryder unless Ryder really keeps going if you don't like those other 2.

Walker is in my team. He is on the up. Can turn a game without needing many possessions. Big grab, late goal = SC gold.

Same could be said about Hawkins but his shorts are too big to fit in my forward line.

Now if I keep going you'll have my team and we'll have to share the prizes so good luck.

Haha. Dw...even if you told me your team I'd go different because there's no point in copying :)

Ok so this is what I've done with you're input...basically 2 changes:

You've convinced me that YES...Birchall is talented enough to get through the "tough" early draw lol...and then I downgraded Vlastuin to Pittard...but will keep watching pre-season form...

I still rate de Boer and with more midfield time I think he'll hold that F4 position nicely. Nice POD too...and a risk I THINK i may be willing to take.

Stuck with Goldy because I really do rate him when he's the No.1 ruckman..and I think the new ruck rules will suit him too.

Thoughts??? :P

Hey coaches  8)

A few changes for you to comment on:

WHat do you all think??? :D
