Whipped this team up, and so far I think it's ok.  Not fully up to date with injuries of players/rookies so if I do have an injured player in there then let me know.  Otherwise, go nuts with your invaluable criticism!

Straight up it very solid. Maric in the rucks is a nice POD, but I can't help but feel that there are better cheaper options from the start, your call.  ;)

Got no qualms with back line. Just wait till Goodes gets elevated, not likely I don't think. But who knows.

Midfield is popping withe GAJ & Swan in there with Cotchin and then the two value picks in Red-Murphy. Very good.  8)

Not sure on Vlastuin, reckon it'd be better tyo go with Oliver Wines or Jesse Lonergan. Mitchell is still rookie listed.

The fwd line was similar to mine, but I've since changed a few things. Wright & Martin are good value as both should up the average.  :D

Not keen on Menzel yet, I'd go with Macaffer or Mayes. Don't know about Mcdough either.

-Overall a quality side.  8)

I did have Goldstein in my rucks but I traded down Mayes to Hrovat and then upgraded Goldy to Maric.  There are a few good value picks in the rucks, but it is Maric, and he is a beast!

It is early days, and none of us know which rookies will play and which won't, so it's more about striking a good balance now and then shifting around the rookies later on when we get a better picture.

Cheers for the post!

I reckon Macaffer is just about a must-have. I don't know much about the rooks this year though, Kane Mitchell sounds great and so does Ollie Wines though.
I like Grundy in the ruck, I heard Collingwood say that they think AFL teams are doing it wrong by getting/playing mature aged ruckmen. They plan to get a good kid and play them heavily until they become a good AFL player, rather than stocking up with reliable, older options. (then they signed Ben Hudson?) I think he's about 202cm and 97kg as a 19yo.

Similar structure to me except you have a few more rookies where I have some cheap/mid guys like Bock, Knights, Embley, Varcoe, Caff, Staker, Dick etc. Picking rooks is all a little pointless at this stage of the year, need to see NAB/round 1 teams.

Artax

Pretty solid although I heard Grundy was injured? Changed him myself to Witts for now.. & also a lot of talk about Kane Mitchell training in a tagging role but who knows ?!

Love seeing Gregory in any team !

Ok, lads.  I had another play around with my team and as such I've made a few changes.  Let me know if this team is better, worse or pretty much the same in terms of strength as the team I posted in the first post of this thread.

Nothing really to fault. I would say Witts over Grundy - But its your team.

Tominator

Maybe Stevenson to Goodes but looks very good, well done

Cheers guys!  Nice to know my team is on the right track, even if it is early on. :)

Chelskiman

With the recent news that Berger isn't travelling too well I've had to re-shape my team once again.  My team has changed a few times since I last posted, so I basically had to get rid of Boyd in order to free up cash to go with two premium rucks (three if you wanna count Cox in the forward line).  Not sure on this structure as I don't feel right going in with 4 premiumn mids and 6 rookies, but I also don't want to flower around in the rucks by taking a risk (i.e starting with someone like Longer).

What do you guys think?  I only have $28,600 left in the bank so not a lot of room to move.  Would love to hear your thoughts!

Chopps

i think you should link an unbroken picture  :P

i am looking at 2 premo rucks have been for a while. but still think cox should be r1 and get a forward there instead of two more rucks

Backline great! Mids and Forwards a little week at the ruck expence, the Sause is not a DreamTeamer, he will be solidly consistant but not even at 90

What's wrong with the picture?  I can see it fine.

Ok, this is what I did

Whitfield > Wines
Sauce > Cox

That left a free spot in the forward so I put Zorko in there (I had $505,500 to play with).  Is that any better do you think?
