Going with him as my unique. New coach, injury free pre-season (first one in years) (barring a dislocated finger, which was fixed in 10 mins) and killed it the end of last season.

Frozensage

I thot S.Rowe has cancer... did he make a full recovery and is fit to play? feels abit risky..

Recovered and fit to play. Don't expect him to though, he is there purely for DPP and loophole purposes

B: Good choice of premiums with a couple of unique-ish option in Grimes and Pearce. Especially like the Pearce pick - just hope he doesnt cop the forward tag. Rookie elections are flawless - love the Luke Brown pick, considering him for mine.

M: Solid choices in GAJ, Pendles and JPK. Would not go Mundy, better options at that price e.g. Gaff, Boak or pay a bit more for Fyfe. Rookie picks are good - like Longergan! Dont know much about Neade though

R: Good to see something a bit different - Sandi is very risky, but we know what he can do when fit, fingers crossed for ya.

F: Waite at that price is a big no frome me. Got enough risk in there already with Sylvia and JJK - I like those picks though. Great rookie picks.

Good unique team. 8/10

Cheers for that Jay! Gives me a lot to think about. Neade purely tere for loophole purposes (he has the best draw for loopholes out of DPP's that most likely wont play)

This is a good team with a few uniques.

Down back i have the same first 4, plus a good midpricer makes this a 9/10

Midfield you have 3 premiums, an underpriced prem and a good midpricer, like others would probably look at others rather then mundy, 8/10

Rucks are good although sandi as you know is a bit risky for what you are paying 8.5/10

Forwards are your weakest line, 2 prems, waite i dont like either, sylvia i dont mind and kennedy im not sold on, 7/10, could be a bit lower

Overall i still like this team and i would give it about an 8 overall :)

Goodes will be very underdone for round 1

Def: You have an interesting unique in David Myers he played well in Both NAB Cup games if you total his scores he get 83 dt points which is great not sure how many Supercoach he would get. As for Pederson you may wan to Downgrade him to either Stevenson or Terlich. Luke Brown is a good cash cow to have
Mids: I would upgrade Mundy to a premium unless you think he will join the Elite mids
Rucks: Standard
Fwds: Would Replace Goodes with Hawkins I think there are better options than Sylvia for example as a Unique Pick his teamate Jack Watts

Overall Some good unique Picks which will help you i give your team an 8/10

#12
My current squad:

Reasoning on unusual picks:

1. Mark Blicavs/Daniel Currie/Sam Rowe Ruck 2 - One of these guys will be my ruck 2 for the starting rounds. The main aim behind this is IF Leuenberger does'nt play round 1. I'd imagine that Blicavs will play the opening few rounds (mainly due to his impressive pre-season, injuries to the rucks and the glowing praise from Scott of him playing multiple positions other than the ruck). If he does play the opening few rounds, then it is every chance that he will be out of the team from round 5 onwards.

Ideal situation: - Mark Blicavs plays rounds 1-5 (3 price rises)
                               - Leuenberger plays rounds 3 - onwards
                               - Use Blicavs price rise + 140k in bank to replace him with Leuenberger prior to round 6

2. Jack Watts Forward - Rather than defence i have chosen to start him forward, although i plan to shift him into defence at a later stage, possibly even trade him out (after gaining his higher scores and cash) when teams start tagging him later on. This is aided by the fact that i think a defence rookie will increase in price quicker than a forward one (eg. B.Goodes will increase faster than Neade), along with that the forward premo's will decrease or have a drop in price sooner than the defence ones. (eg. Adam Goodes will decrease in his starting price rather than relying on Heppell or Grimes to drop faster).

Ideal Situation: - Brett Goodes rises in price faster than my forward rookies
                                - Adam Goodes has a few sub affected games or scores poorly to start the season
                                - Trade B.Goodes, switch Watts to defence, bring in Adam Goodes

3. Nick Vlastuin Midfield Rather than playing him in defence, i feel he will be one of the higher scoring rookies, thus i've chucked him into midfield. This also offers me flexibility with the likes of Goddard and Gibbs.
