Quite a similar team to mine in regards to the midfield and backline.. Lake should be a solid pick while Stanton is worth the risk considering the extra trades.
I love the pick of Fyfe.
Not really sold on your forward line, I would turn Byrnes and Cloke into rookies and make Riewoldt and Wright into real premiums.. Or at least Riewoldt as I don't rate him anymore or the Saints for that matter.
Overall pretty solid, if you changed your forward line around it would end up pretty similar to mine..

Surprised you have Stanton as your M3, the way you carry on about him i thought that you would have atleast put him as M1 or M2.

I dont see Docherty getting a game for a while in the Lions backline and Goodes needs to be promoted (and i dont think the Dogs havev any spots for him to promote).

Strong mids with 6 possible premiums and rucks are pretty standard. Watch Berger though as he might have some job share for the start of the season.

Im not sold on Byrnes and Wright like you are, hopefully Byrnes can return to his 09-10 form and get some quality game time.

DEF: It's suffered a bit. Goddard/Gibbs you can't go wrong with, while I like Lake, what I'm hearing is he won't score overly well now. Goodes and Colq have to be promoted from their rookie lists so watch that. Terlich is a sound pick, he'll feature a fair bit but Stevenson is the most interesting one here. Would like to know what you see in him. That said, who could and should feature in Port's backline so you might be on to something.

MID: Stacked with premiums (Fyfe included) but even with that said, I like it the look of it. Can only assume you do plan to get either GAJ, Swan or both in later? Crouch > Mitchell and maybe get Lonergan instead of Jones. Otherwise, can't complain.

RUC: Pretty standard. Not much to say here.

FWD: Don't like Nick Riewoldt in there or Cloke, but if you think they'll both do well, go for it. Definitely can't fault it otherwise. Wright's a good pick and Byrnes could come good. Rookies are fine and Stevie J and Rocky are fine as well.

8.5/10

You'd have to be confident that Lake will return to the 90+ form of old. If he has any chance of doing that it would be at Hawthorn.

- Would prefer Broughton TBH.

No Swan or Ablett is a little different.

Rating your team as we speak :P

Byrnes, Cloke, Wright, Riewoldt (only keeping him in first month) = 80 + 94 + 96 + 100
Daniher, Menzel, Franklin, Cox = 65 + 70 + 97 + 97

370 vs 329...big margin

I've got him as captain so dw :3
Thurlow, Vlastuin ready to be chucked in
Even if Leuey averages only like 80 he's still a lock to grab you like 200k
I'm sold on Wright 100%, Byrnes will probably get in unless Knights or Varcoe show superior NAB cup form or I make structural changes.

Good side mate, I only have doubts over Lake and Cloke but I know how keen you are on those two so no point discussing that.

Backline is really weak I would prefer one extra premium or midpricer especially with how risky Lake is.

I'm 100% sold on Lake and Cloke as long-term 92+ scorers for 2013, while Riewoldt I'll only have in for the first 4-6 weeks due to the Saints' easy start, should average 100 over that period and gain some money and I'll turn him to Thomas or Robinson or somebody.

Swan/Ablett (whoever is averaging better) is going to be my first midfield addition when I'm upgrading, gotta sort out my backline first though.

100% confident of Lake averaging 90, probably above 94. Broughton won't average 90.

I'm a massive hipster so no Swan or Ablett :P that and they're both going to drop in average.

Windigo

Haha I love how confident you are with your selections.  :P

Backs are the first place I'm going to upgrade, hopefully be able to get in Grimes or Birchall or the like before R6.

Nice work Jukes.

Like the mid selections." Putting your money where your mouth is " regarding Ablett and Swan.
And big Nick...could be anything or nothing as always.

Good luck..will be watching with interest  ;D

Artax

No Swan or Ablett but still an awesome midfield, I like it. Although I am starting with both at this stage for the first time in 5 years.

Goodes & Docherty make me nervous.

Good backup rucks, I went with the same.

Strong team!

hold the phone on Docherty, Ringo thinks he might get some game time early

I may put a sneaky bet on Docherty. Beefed up nicely in the off season and more than likely will play in Round 1.

I love that justification! Great thinking.

I think structurally it could be better (long term $ v short term points) to have more mid rooks v less fwd+back rooks because the mids are more likely to be the quality cows. Not a whole lot of value bickering about rooks until we see NAB/Rd1 though. I guess that extra $ you gain from not starting with Swanny and GAB will equal that out though.

Thanks for your help rating my team too!
