I reckon,

I forgot to mention I'm downgrading McEvoy to the best performing player out of Goldy and McIntosh after R3-4.

SJ 102, Redden 108, Goldy 90, Mitchell 70
vs
Breust 93, Fyfe 105, McEvoy 110 (first few), GHS 70

= 370
vs
=378 and the advantage of a severely better R3

NAB will tell a lot about Breust, Fyfe, Mitchell, GHS and Goldy though so hard to tell at this stage.
i admire all this pre planning but have you forgotten about INJURIES!!!

I just found this in a thread from December.

Beams will average more. The choice is obvious.

I'm not going any of the three however. Swan costs far too much, can't see Pendles scoring 113+ so rate Stants and Murph ahead of him as both have much more room to improve and have a good chance at averaging more, and I rate Ablett ahead of Beams.

That was 2 months ago, wasn't even after the team planner opened, is irrelevant.

Anyway, here's my team atm, whaddaya think?

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Pittard, Goodes, Stevenson (Docherty, Terlich)
Mids: Swan, Cotchin, Pendlebury, Stanton, Selwood, Redden, O'Meara, Viney (Crouch, Jones)
Rucks: Goldstein, Leuenberger (Witts, Moller)
Forwards: Rockliff, Riewoldt, Martin, Cloke, Siposs, Staker (Macaffer, Neale)
Not much money left over.

inb4 no Lake, I'm strictly sticking with the 3 gun backline, and see Heppell present more potential at less risk than Lake.

why selwood jukes? prepare to be annoyed when he gets himself ko'd for 10

Jukes

His three averages against his first three opponents are 115, 100, and 106, the highest first three average in the league. He then plays 93, 101, 104, 107, 103, 91, 119, GWS, bye (hasn't got the r13 bye with Swan, Pendles, Beams, Stants, Watto etc), 95, only 86, then 115, 106 and 108, if I decide to keep him that long.

Dropped 6 points in average last season due to the pressures of being a first year captain, should bump that up to at least his 2011 average with gained experience and is hitting the peak midfield years for premiums (7th season breakout), could go 110-115, especially with his favourable draw for 2013.

My prediction: 110 average and a great unique while others go the sheep path to Murphy.

Very good side, maybe ditch the Riewoldt idea though and shift that cash over to the backline and get someone along the lines of Birchall, Hanley, Hartlett etc.

I do not like Selwood at all (my own bias coming in there) and personally would go for Embley then use the cash elsewhere.

Other then that a great looking side :)

historically jelwood scores good in the start yes, but if u going to go for him it gotta be for consistency. 3 games at around 60 was a bummer but the rest is good? that is awesome, and if you're looking for a keeper check on how he's doing. historically he scores good against hawthorn so expect a good first round.

expect wright to go at around 80 maybe 90 if he can push some high scores in some games, but he is definetively worth the cash then sell him for someone like buddy who will fall in price.

personally wouldn't go with martin, he was expected to be legendary last year but you can probably expect him to push it to around 90s.

dont see why you would go with jones when clearly there are better options like wines at a little higher price for example.

other than that i like your team, perhaps you've choose too few potential keepers but i guess you are going to pick them up on the way  ;D

D: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Hibberd, Armstrong, Vlastuin (Goodes, Stevenson)
M: Swan, Pendlebury, Stanton, A. Swallow, Moloney, Whitfield, Wines, O'Meara (K. Mitchell, Crouch)
R: Bellchambers, Currie (Rowe, Daw)http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/Themes/babylon/images/bbc/code.gif
F: Zorko, Rockliff, Robinson, Roughead, Karnezis, Varcoe (Macaffer, Lee)
$67,400 remaining

Rucks weak but have the Rowe/Roughead DPP remember.

If you feel I need to make an upgrade somewhere I'm willing to downgrade Whitfield -> Lonergan, Varcoe -> Neade and maybe one of Zorko/Robbo -> Riewoldt/Martin.

Cheers.

Hey Jukes, looking lovely, but are you not going with Leuenberger due to injury or you dont rate him??

Jukes

Purely injury. He's a good ruckman and will be top 5 ruck (DT average) in a few years (jealous of Jay in WXV as he has him :/) but his massive injury cloud has forced me off him.

I also see 3 Essendon players in one position, that could be a risk?
