Mid's - I would say you have spent too much money on Ablett, Swan, Stanton and Redden.
Swapping Swan to Pendlebury would save you 100k, Stanton to a Fyfe would save you another 100k. You just need to consdier if this money can be spent better in other areas.

I would swap LECRAS for either T. Lee or B. Kennedy and start with Macaffer. This should save you another 100k.

Using the money you saved above, try to upgrade one or two if possible of these players to a premium e.g. Duffield, Broughton or Waters

I'd say keep Swanny & GAJ. 4 premiums mids + two good mid pricers is excellent.

Your other lines don't suffer that much either. Downgrade Stevens to Lonergan maybe?

Better options than Lecras who are cheaper like Knights.

That was the idea pushing money from the Back into the Mids, is alot of decent rookies down back. Bit of a gamble but backs never score that heavily.

Dropped stevens to mid rookie (Mitchell) which allowed me to move Lecras up to martin (not 100%sold on martin atm)

Backline is fine, no worries there (rookies are obviously still highly subject to change, specifically looking at Docherty and Colquhoun here)
Midfield is fine, personally I'd prefer Wines over Embers but you are far from alone in picking Embley and I see the appeal. I have quite high expectations of Wines though.
I'm not a fan of Goldy, yes he will get a butloads of points from hit outs but it kills me seeing his score go up by +1 at a time. He doesn't get enough possessions or goals for me personally. McEvoy could be an option for the first few rounds due to the saints easy early draw.
I'd also try and get Stevie J over Ryder. Don't mind the pick of Martin, probably because I didn't have him at all last year so I have no bias against him. I'd pick a rookie over Varcoe, maybe Mayes?
