Sydney vs GWS and GC first up and Jack and ROK generally smash the poor teams (especially Jack) so i'm expecting back to back 130s from them in the first two rounds. This should lead to a roughly 50k increase after two price rises. This will mean I can straight swap them to premiums I feel more comfortable having e.g. beamer and cotchin come round 5. This strategy saves money but shouldn't cost me many (if any points). What do you think?

Windigo

A pretty sound strategy. But if they both fail it could bite you. As your team is dependent on ROK & Jack netting these points.

I'd only gamble with one, but hey it could very well work.  8)

Yeah don't know if I have the balls to start with both ROK and Jack. I've traded ROK to Cotch for now. Even though I am confident ROK and Jack will smash the first two rounds I feel much more comfortable having Cotch there.

Artax

As a Swans man I love the theory and Jack especially is one I am considering!

Brave all the same

a few minor changes. Got Knights in instead of Stringer and got Redden over ROK

wow really like that team mate very nice cant fault it

Redden, Jack, Robinson, Mayes, Pittard are good POD's, but with regards to rookies, Witts is ahead of Grundy at the pies and has been said to be getting a run in 2013 by the coaching staff so might want to make the swap to Sandi-lite, and I'm not sure on Vlastuin when there's somebody like Docherty who's a 2nd year 1st round pick that was lauded to be the best & most game ready of Lions draftees last year.  Other than that, a very nice team, solid Captain options every round of the season, nice job. :)

SydneyRox

I would probably move cox to the fwds in place of Robbo and bring in another premo ruck.

But that is just personal opinion. Otherwise nice looking team for now.

Careful which Swan's mid you pick.
2011 - 2012 averages against first four opponents below (difference between average vs opponent and 2012 season average in brackets). McVeigh looks like the one for me.

GCS: 99 (1)
NTH: 89 (-9)
GEE: 83 (-15)

JPK  ('12 average = 102)

a bit of late night tinkering
Have I made it better or worse do you reckon? (basically removed a mid premo and added a back and fwd premo with the cash)

The loss of Staker and the lack of Fwd rookies at the moment has had me making a few changes
Obviously I won't be keeping Riewoldt for very long, just long enough to take advantage of the Saints easy early draw and should be able to straight swap to Buddy round 5 or so.

Obviously you'll have more of an idea of rookies with the NAB Cup, but I think Mitchell is still on the Port rookie list, so won't be playing round 1 unless something changes.
Like the mids other than that.
I'm guessing McBean is just there as a random cheap ruck, as he seems unlikely to play.
Backs seem decent.
Not so sure about Martin & Robinson with their off-field issues in the off season, but they may very well start with a bang - could be flops, but could be good choices.
Is there a plan B for the forwards if NRoo hasn't gained enough & Buddy dropped enough to do a swap after 5 or 6 rounds?

thefuzz

port have a spot open on their list for a rookie elevation and Mitchell seems like the front runner for it.
yeah don't think it is necessary to have 4 playing rucks so I'll just go with a random cheap 4th ruck or a random cheap  r/f 4th ruck.
I can't see Robbos big day out incident effecting anything and I think malthouse will help him blossom into a DT superstar
I can't recall any official off field issues about martin?
I only thought of the St. Nick strategy the other day so no, no plan b at the moment.

I have the cash to get Toumpas if he keeps smashing it.

Byrnes ---> Rowe
Crouch ---> Embley
