Mr.Craig

Montagna and Lake are the two that stick out. Montagna to Ball/Embley and Lake to a premium would be the move I'd make.

Overall a nice side.

Agree with Mr.Craig

Ricochet

Quite a few uniques which is great to see. Lake and Cloke worry me a bit but they could go either way.
Montags with his easy early draw could work perfectly if he pumps out some big scores early on

I found my new favourite FFer :D Stants, Lake and Cloke and then Montagna...are you me in disguise?
Flawless backline, rooks and premos alike
(There are only two real *likes* but the first counts as pretty much 10 :P)

Dislikes
Staker- there are better options
McBean- if there's no DPP link in the forwards, you don't need him as he'll play 0 games.
I rate Byrnes over Knights, your call though.

Suggested Alterations
Staker -> Menzel/Mayes
McBean -> Daw/Witts

@MrC and FF...NO. Montagna will average ~120 in the first three rounds then you can offload him to Murphy who has a hard start, and Lake will average at least 90, good chance of 95+.

Montagna will miss rnd 1.

"Saint Leigh Montagna will miss St Kilda's opening game of 2013 after the AFL Tribunal upheld his one-match suspension for rough conduct against Carlton's Andrew Walker."

FYI, StanTON:

Montagna averages against first six opponents (2011 - 2012):

GCS (3 games) - 99.6
RIC (2 games) - 84.0
GWS (1) - 128.0
ESS (2) - 90.5
SYD (3) - 88
COL (2*) - 115.5 (* excl. injured affected 51 in Rnd 11, 2011)

Overall Rnd 1 - 6 average (2011 - 2012) - 100.9

Sadly, Montags days of DT relevancy are in the past.

Don't over think the first 3-5 rounds with speculative picks that probably have more negatives than positives.

Find the cash for a real premium that WILL pour in the points no matter the opponent.  ;)

No offence Jukes but i wouldn't pick Montagna in a blind fit .. happy to eat my words..but unlikely
