Yeah, both great long term choices for the club moving forward.
Boaky has the ability to get back to ave 100+.
This could just be his year.

Noz

Of course Boaky will don the number 1 gurnsey next year continue the heritage of the Port Adelaide captain.

Cassisi has also chosen to step aside from the leadership group after deciding to step down from the captain.

Same thing as what Newman did... Reckon it's the right choice for both of them. While they won't be named as 'official' leaders, i think their leadership will still be an asset to their teams.

Very good to see champions of our game standing aside and letting the younger talent take over, Of course Newman and Cassisi will still be leaders around the club as you said Toga its good for the younger crop of players to show their leadership skills around the club.

Despite what many of the knockers say, Port are building a fairly solid side!

I agree ele! Wouldn't surprise me to see them knocking on the door of the 8 in a year or two 8)

Ringo

Agree Ele - See Port challenging for the 8 in 3 years with GC and GWS,  All have young lists and as experience gained will start climb up the ladder.

GM

If the likes of Butcher and Trengrove can take that next step ie Treadrea and Chad did in the early 2000's.Two strong big fellas to make a statement to the competition will go along way of getting them back up there.
Ringo,i see a lot of excitement and improvement coming from the Lions this year mate.Obviously a lot of clubs will improve this year, but i feel they could push into the top 8.

I'll be quite happy if we are no longer the joke of the AFL and we get respect form the football world. :) And i think we can achieve that this year. :)

Reckon Essendon are in the running for that honour this year!

Yeah, signs are positive at Port

Nige

I think things are definitely on the up for Port. Their list is getting better and I think they'll be able to easily better their performance from last year. Still don't think Primus leaving was the right thing, but good on Ken Hinkley, he's been trying for a senior gig for a while, so hopefully it goes well in his first year.  :)

Exciting times ahead for the Power

Makes you wonder if Primus stayed would we have enjoyed the success we had to off season.
