Fair point :)
But in general the whole team was less experience.

^ That was the team list for the game, there are names like Cotchin, Riewoldt, Vickery, Rance etc that you can cross as we know they didn't play. There were 9 new players for Richmond, and there are 30 in the list above. That would be 8 to remove. Can't even remember who the other 4 who didn't play were from what I saw last night.

What people forget is that to the all stars team that game means a lot. To Richmond it was a scratch match as part of their training program.
Guys like Aaron davey and Liam Jones played with more passion and intensity in that game than they do for their actual teams. Davey hasn't played like that for 5 years. It meant a lot to them, you could tell by the way they celebrated every goal and celebrated after the win.
Richmond supporters that panic from this must have their head in the clouds.
The team that plays round 1 will include:
Riewoldt (full forward)
Vickery (centre half forward)
Chaplin (centre half back)
Rance (full back)

That's our entire spine..

Add to that our starting midfield of Maric, Cotchin, Deledio, Foley
Our starting back men Grimes, griffiths, and Houli and a starting forward in Jake king.

The team that we fielded last night was mostly our fringe players who won't play round one with a couple of experienced like Tuck and Newman and a couple of young guys like Morris, Ellis, and Dmart etc.
All stars team was hardly any better but it meant a hell of a lot more to them.. Clearly.

Looking at the positives from the game. I thought Martin led the way and had a stack of it.
Elton presented really well and looks a lot bigger and ready to push for selection more often.
Vlastuin showed signs as did a few of the other first gamers.
And I really liked the look of O'hanlan

I also thought Az Edwards and Conca looked really good in addition to the lads you mentioned.
