Richard "Bling" Tambling was born on 12 September 1986 and grew up in the Woolna tribe in the NT. As a child Richard was a popular boy, and it didn't take long for people to realise that he was extremely gifted.

At just 5 years of age he saved a man's life by wrestling a crocodile that was attacking the guy. At age 10 he finished high school and could have gone on to be one of the finest doctors in the world if he chose to. But his real love was sport.

It is rumoured that he once used his blistering speed to run 100m in just 4.5 seconds. Bling is a humble lad and plays down the feat. Richard excelled in every sport that he played and it was AFL that he specialised in.

Richard was the most talented junior footballer... ever. He dominated throughout his teen years until it was time for the Under 18 national championships. Predicatably, he destroyed teams on his own and took out the Harrison medal at the championships.

Richard was drafted with pick 4 in the 2004 AFL draft. It is still unknown how he slipped so low in the order. Lids, Roughead and Griffen are still hoping that they may develop into half the player that Richard is. Richmond coach Terry Wallace was thrilled and proclaimed to have gotten "the two best kids in the country". Richard being the best, of course.

Bling was unleashed on the AFL in 2005 and played 108 sublime games for Richmond. His highlight reel includes effortlessly kicking 4 goals in a quarter against West Coast and goals that should have won goal of the year every year. Finally it got to the point where Richmond thought that he was worth 5 million dollars a season, and decided that they can't pay him what he is worth so it was best to let him go.

He was traded to the Adelaide Crows and immediately given #1 to reflect his status in the history of the AFL. Ever since his arrival, the Crows have been on the way up. Bling has been teaching players 1% of his tricks at training and the boys used some of their new tricks to lift themselves from 14th on the ladder to 2nd in the space of one season.

Tambling has decided that the team is ready to witness his skill in real AFL matches is 2013. Doughty has retired because Bling decided that he wants to play off half back. There is no question that Richard is going to be the best player in the AFL in 2013. The Brownlow (66 votes), Norm Smith, Coleman (2000 goals) medals already have his name on them.

Great stuff! There just not enough words to describe Bling. :)

When I saw this at the top of the Players and Trades thread, I had an initial horrifying thought that someone was considering him :)
