2012 Games: 21
2012 Ave: 83.9

2011 Games: 21
2011 Ave: 89.8

2012 Price: $453,000
Position: Defender

In the past two seasons Bob has shown that his injury prone days are long gone. Durability is good.
Murphy is 30 years old but he has shown no signs of slowing down, and the Dogs have recently extended his contract for another season, proving that he has a lot of good football left in him.

The real reason that you should be considering Bob is that he is going to play the majority of his games as a forward in 2013. He achieved his best average (92.7) back in 2008 when he played as an undersized centre half forward. He is a marking machine across half forward and his effective ball use will see him score well. He's a nice POD in your backline and definitely worth considering for 2013.

Prediction: 92

Nice write up mate, but he is a risky choice, the dogs will really struggle this year and has often been a handy SC scorer but never a great one. Probably better picks around.

Is he any more of a risk than someone like Broughton? I don't think so.

In 2008 when he played as a forward, he took 60 more marks than Buddy and Cloke. He's almost unstoppable on a long lead and even if the Dogs are getting pumped he will still find plenty of the pill.

Wouldn't be the worst pick but I think Broughton is more likely to go 90+ playing as a midfielder

Broughton is not going to be a midfielder though. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-01-18/broughton-goes-back

Plus Broughton has played 4 seasons, and in 3 of them he has played 15 games only!

Adamant

Could be a good POD, but there's no way I could fit him in...

Yeh, not doubting he has talent. But he is turning 31 in a struggling side. from that price range I'd take Broughton, Heppell and Watts infront of him.

Bob is averaging 106 since the bye so if you are in dire need of a POD then give him a go!
