ATHLETIC Brisbane Lions ruckman Matthew Leuenberger has completed his first full training session since tearing his achilles last April.

The 204cm West Australian got through an entire session with his teammates at the Lions’ training ground at Coorparoo on Thursday night to signify another big step in his comeback.

good news i guess we wait and see how he pulls up today and in the next couple of days

Only a slight caution for all in that he will be on a managed training program this year as well.  Attended the training session and Berger appeared tentative a couple of times so expect him to start possibly a little slowly until confidence is gained.  Hopefully will get a game or 2 in the NAB cup.
