With all the interest on Berger in SC thought I would post this update here. He is targeting 2 games in the NAB cup which all goes well for being named Round 1.

Very interesting article for other facts as well.

Virtually confirms that Merrett will be solely back this year and Jordan Lisle is favoured for second tall forward at the moment.  Pleased with this Jordan was giving an alternative target late last season when given the chance.

Thanks for that Ringo. Great to know he's getting back, I hope he's round one.

Cheers mate, been hanging for any news on Luey and his progress. All good there. :)

Good News Ringo.
Would throw a spanner in the works if he had any setbacks.

I dont know if he is a lock though. He only MIGHT play the last 2 NAB cup games before the season starts, even though he is cheap, i dont see him having the fitness to run out a game come R1

Was running quite strongly at the training session I went to Tabs.  Will hopefully get to one of the next 2 sessions to see how he is coping with simulated matches.

lts a good article but hardly a ringing endorsement. l like so many others am looking at having him as R2, but now l'm thinking its even more crucial to have a r/f rookie and a Cox/Ryder/Roughy in my fwd line

l was lucky last year......started with Cox & Giles, then upgraded Giles to Maric . So l'm really hoping big Luey can hold up

I did the same nostra, was able to dodge alot of Ruck carnage by going this path, you can get lucky sometimes. :)

Am thinking now of bringing Berger in R3 if he has a small BE rather than start him, especially in DT

I think Berger is just about a lock for me in the R2 spot come round one. He should score quite well and while he may start a little slow, I think he should be averaging close to 100 by years end.

This is good news, hope he performs well in those couple of games and shows some promising signs for the season proper.
