The Crows hope to have small forward Jared Petrenko (shoulder) available close to the start of the season, but will give Brad Crouch, Sam Kerridge and Tim McIntyre a chance to show their wares during the NAB Cup.

They also plan to develop Patrick Dangerfield more as a forward this season.

:o  Most probably know but there's a few writers at the Advertiser who just suck, Jai Bendall is one of them

This is just laughable

A one line non quoted sentence at the bottom of an article by Jai Bendall.

"They also plan to develop Patrick Dangerfield more as a forward this season."

Said who? You gunna take your best line breaker out of the midfield, lol. Sure Jai!

MC

More likely to rest in forward line and hopefully kick a few more goals.

Presto

No way, why would you put Danger in the forward line more, when he runs through the guts with so much authority. As MC said maybe for a rest

Rocky and Danger are nothing alike. Dangerfield is a burst player and a clearance machine. Rockliff plays bullshower kick to kick football with Redden that achieves nothing.

Adelaide would be mad to move Dangerfield out of the guts.

the opnly time danger will be forward is when the ball will be in the forward 50. He will be on the ball or resting on the wing/HFF imo

I think you missed the point.

Young elite/semi-elite midfielders, inexplicably spending time in the forward line to the detriment of their team.

Rocky went from 113sc to 97sc because of the move (as Im sure you're aware).  If Dangerfield spent any considerable time in the forward line (which he wont imo) we would see a similar drop.

In that way they are alike.

My point was that Danger is the best burst midfielder since early Judd and 2008 Cooney and he is irreplaceable in the Crows midfield. Rocky is just another hard working midfielder and easily replaced, so moving him out of the mids wouldn't destroy the team structure as it would with Adelaide/Dangerfield. The Crows simply cannot move Danger out of there without ruining their midfield.
