which combo for M4 and M5?

My thinking is this...

Cotchin (115) + Embley (85) = 200

Redden (109) + Ball (93) = 202

Point wise I don't believe there will be much difference, but i'm worried about Embley's age and rest/substitute chances as he will be managed to be a key player for September
Ball will play every game barring injury but costs more..
so Which is the way to go...

Midfield currently is Swan, Ablett, Pendles, _________, _________, Wines, K.Mitchell, O'Meara  (Viney, Crouch)

which is why Murphy isn't in contention

Would appreciate everyones opinions and predictions on the players averages

Cheers

out of those 2 scenarios id def go cotch embly, few extra dollars in the pocket and for points you cant really seperate em.

kilbluff1985

Redden just because Brisbane have a easy draw i think lol

Jukes

I reckon,

Redden (112) + Ball (90) = 202

Cotchin (118) + Embley (80) = 198

So yeah Reddo and Ball is the better option imo.

Windigo

No team is guaranteed a spot in September. So why would he be 'managed' from the start. Maybe down the track he could be.

But I see no reason not to pick Embers from the start, will be a great money earner for yah team.  ;)

Embley & Cotch get's my pick.

Its interesting that people are writing off Embley without looking at his numbers. They would see that he is highly unlikely to be vested or rested plus he could return to a 90 point average...

Ricochet

Barring injury Embley won't get the vest.
Mezz is right, before last year Embley averaged 94 (2011), 92.4 (2010), 87.1 (2009), 93.6 (2008)
Ball will average 95-100 and Embles will hit 90-95
I'd be going with your first option ADEZ

Dayze

I know Lenny did it last year, but do people understand how hard it is to come back from an ACL. I am extremely sceptical that Ball can get straight back to his former averages. I know he is a warrior and he is a chance to bounce back but Balls body has taken a beating over the years. I agree he has great job security but I think everyone thinks becoz last year Lenny came back so strong that it is easy. Remember there is only one Lenny hayes. An injury this huge, with a position as important as ur midfield is a huge risk. I know there is 8 spots but this is the main area we either score our points, or make our money???

Why would you think that? Look at these numbers...

Between 2006 and 2012, Embley has played fewer than 20 games in only two seasons; 11 games in 2007 6 games in 2012. Also, he posted three 90+ scores from six games after returning from his injury last year.

That shows to me that - unexpected injuries aside - he is generally a durable player who is regularly part of the Eagles' best 22.
Most importantly, at $260k he is a bloody steal.

Happy with folks not choosing player for whatever reason in their own team, but at least look at their stats if you are going to make recommendations for other coaches.

Genius, so simple

Can ditch Goldy then to Maric or Sandi, or move cox from the FWDS to ruck and chuck in SJ...

Decisions.....

Perhaps look at it like this (insert your own projected averages):
Maric (95) + Cox (95) = 190pts from $1.17m
Sandi (95) + Cox (95) = 190pts from $0.99m
Cox (95) + SJ (95) = 190pts from $1.13m
