This is my first team where i'm 100% happy with every player in my squad (Excluding rookies of course) So pumped for SC to open! and can't wait for the all important NAB cup! Bring on 2013!

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, P. Hanley, B. Goodes, J. Pittard, J. Thurlow (L. Stevenson, D. Terlich)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, S. Pendlebury, T. Cotchin, D. Mundy, J. Lonergan, K. Mitchell, B. Crouch (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
RUC: A. Sandilands, M. Leuenberger (S. Rowe, B. Grundy)

CASH LEFT: $10,800

What are your thoughts on my side?

Ringo

Nice team here

Just a couple of comments:
Maybe move Broughton or Staker back to defence to give a DPP replace with another rookie.
Sylvia will give you a roller  coaster ride but can score big - been burnt by him last year and the previous so you can understand my reticence.

Good team just my opinion on a couple of players.  Structure sound.

With Broughts i will look to move him Back once one of my back rookies have maxed out and look at getting a Fwd premo rather then Def.

Sound strategy that I agree with.  Had wondered whether that may be the case especially with 30 trades and trading room still avaiable for DPP I believe. (Have not heard anything to the contrary).

I have one question for you Ringo, do you think this is a good idea?

Sandi--> Mumford
Broughton--> Knights/Winderlich
Goodes--> Broughton

So it will look like this:

TEAM NAME: Supercoach Trial
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, P. Hanley, G. Broughton, J. Pittard, J. Thurlow (L. Stevenson, D. Terlich)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, S. Pendlebury, T. Cotchin, D. Mundy, J. Lonergan, K. Mitchell, B. Crouch (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
RUC: S. Mumford, M. Leuenberger (S. Rowe, B. Grundy)
FWD: D. Cox, J. Roughead, T. Rockliff, C. Sylvia, C. Knights/J. Winderlich, B. Macaffer (B. Staker, T. Lee)

which team do you like better? (Obviously i'll monitor Winderlich's preseason and NAB cup, as well as how he is tracking for round 1, he shows great value if he can get on the park with averages of 87 and 96 in 2010/09 before getting injured in 2011/12)

Ringo

Like this team better -

Quite a bit of information and discussion on Goldstein why you should or should not pick him.  So assess and make own decision. (I have gone backwards and forwards on this one myself)

Watch Knights in pre season before making final decision and will he make final cut at Richmond.  Will be gold if he gets back to 2009 form. You do not have $20k to get Varcoe instead do you.  My choices for this mid would be Varcoe, Knights and then Winderlich.

I meant Mummy not Goldy sorry, and no the mid priced options i can afford are: O'hAilpin/Winderlich/Knights/Byrnes, who would you pick from them?

Ringo

Mummy if he stays on the park will be good - Just personal but think he is disadvantaged a little with the new ruck rules.
Knights would be my choice from that list but your second suggestion has merit.  Go with your gut feel,  Just think that Varcoe will be a mid value this year.

I'm sorry about all these post but last option: what about this?:

TEAM NAME: Supercoach Trial
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, P. Hanley, G. Broughton, J. Pittard, J. Thurlow (L. Stevenson, D. Terlich)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, S. Pendlebury, T. Cotchin, D. Mundy, J. Lonergan, B. Crouch, J. O'Meara (M. Jones, J. Viney)
RUC: S. Mumford, M. Leuenberger (S. Rowe, B. Grundy)
FWD: D. Cox, J. Roughead, T. Rockliff, C. Sylvia, T. Varcoe, B. Macaffer (B. Staker, T. Lee)
CASH LEFT: $2,300

I've gone back to my first change, I've kept Roughy, went Knights to Varcoe and Mitchell to Jones?

I really like this team now, THANKS SO MUCH, your time is appreciated!

Ringo

This getting really close to a good team really like it.

Rookies will no doubt change around but your prem structure and players are sound. Some may question prems but you go with gut feel at all times. Only prem I am worried about is Sylvia and have discussed that earlier.

Thanks Ringo! you've definitely made my team better! and with Sylvia i think i'm going to take the risk seeing as he average 98 after being dropped last year. The only thing i'm worried about is all the new blood coming into the side, it might affect his scores. i will monitor his NAB cup as well as the Round 1 team.
