With Nic Nat looking to be sidelined for the first 2 months of the season who is now interested in picking up Cox as a DPP RUC/FWD? When Nic Nat was out Round 6 and 7 Cox averaged about 120.5DT and scored 141SC in both matches (I know this is a DT thread but just puting it in).

He is 32 this year but doesn't look like slowing down, at least for the first half of 2013.

Thoughts?

Mr.Craig

I think there were a fair few people interested already and now they'll be even keener. I don't think I'll take him personally but I just got a little more excited about the prospects of Callum Sinclair.

Sinclair needs to be upgraded though, doenst he??

I already have Cox in my forwards at the moment, if Sinclair gets upgraded then he might get a bench spot in my rucks

That's right. But with the veteran and LTI rules I think he's a decent chance. Certainly seems the most likely to get a gig out of their rookies.

Presto

I already was thinking of Cox in my FWD line and now that Nic is out for a while consider how much better is Cox without him.
Over the last 2 seasons, Nic has missed 4 games (round 6 and 7 last year and 1 and 19 in 2011)

Cox averages when Nic played: (DT100.4 and SC113.5)
Nicless Cox (DT134.5 SC165)

I just rearranged my whole team for him :P

Surely, in my opinion, to finish as a top 6 fwd & top 3 ruck.

Ziplock

first 10 rounds he could easily be first ruck and fwd :P

Think Cox has to be involved now, the question of where is up to you, but I think fwds make most sense

What about S.Lycett he was a fairly high draft pick from memory, how's he travelling in the sceme of things.

I recon he will play all nab, but would be better if had dpp status in my opinion.

Yeah i didnt realise he was a forward only until i tried to find him .. forward only .. As a junior he was a forward i think but i thought he would keep the ruck positioning having not played many games.

Based purely on the numbers Sinclair was more impressive last year. Seems to have more strings to his bow. :-\

2012 WAFL Averages -

Lycett - 11.4 disposals, 3.7 marks, 1 goal, 8.8 hitouts
Sinclair - 14.5 disposals, 5.1 marks, 1.6 goals, 8.2 hitouts

Lycett classed as a forward averaged 1 goal a game ... Sinclair ruckman 1.6 goals a game  ;D
