This is about the 3rd article I've read over the last month talking about how Swan is in the best shape of his career, and this is his best pre-season to date. Almost every team I look at has Pendlebury, mine included, and with good reason. But are we overlooking Swan as a starter? I think I am yet to see a fanplanner team with him in.

GM

Get off to a flyer and lock them both.

did anybody see sarah jones interviewing swanny at the big bash last night? swanny looks full of muscle, where as in the past it has looked like a combination between muscle and fat. he will have a big year i reckon.

Have Pendles and Gaj, as most do. But seriously considering finding the extra 50k to upgrade Kennedy to Swan, its not a lot of $$ and I think its a (slightly) better and more reliable pick.

Swan is a gun
Swan is one of the very best in a decade, but how can someone say he's more reliable than JPK? That would imply Kennedy is less consistant? ??? Imo Swan's a risk but it looks like he might be as fit as ever

m1tch robo

Maybe him not being fat is a bad thing? He's looking in great shape - could make him score worse.

If it isn't broken you don't need to fix it. And for the past 5 years swan certainly hasn't been broken

Kennedy is less consistent if you think about it...

KENNEDY:
2010 avg - 88
2011 avg - 96
2012 avg - 120

SWAN:
2010 - 127
2011 - 122
2012 - 126

** Yes, I know Kennedy is younger etc - but he's the same age as Pendlebury who has averaged 111/129/125 across those same years.

If you take into consideration ONLY 2012, then Kennedy dropped below 100sc 5 times, compared to Swan at only 3 times... (During H & A season)

So to conclude; yes - Swan is more consistent.
