Thoughts???

Happy to help mate.

DEF: Spread a little bit thin here I reckon. Goddard and Gibbs are lock ins. Hartlett I'm not so sure about. Can he average 95 + and can he stay on the park for the season. If your answer is yes to both then keep him. I would try to get one more prem defender in there.

MIDS: Like it a lot. GAJ, Pendles and Cotchin choices speak for themselves. Shuey could breakout like Dangerfield did last year and Mundy is excellent value and has the potential to average 110 +

RUCKS: Very standard, with the prem, Luey combo. No complaints.

FWDS: Sylvia is the type of player that will frustrate the hell out of you in SC. I can speak from experience. Very up and down and his discipline issues both on and off the field does one's head in too. IF he pulls his head in he could average 95 +, but that's a very big if.. Not sure about the Varcoe choice, he won't be a keeper so he is very awkwardly priced for mine. Franklin, Rocky and Martin all solid picks.

Overall I rate your team 7.5/10 at this stage mate.

Solid Team her

DEF: Little weak here Not a Hartlett fan but your choice if you believe he is solid enough to occupy the D3 position.
MIDS: Solid here - Shuey may break out this year and Mundy is capable of 110+ as well.
RUCKS: Standard
FWDS: Solid choices here - Will this be Martin's year been frustrated with him over the last 2 years, Sylvia will also be frustrating for you depending on his head space.  Varcoe will be a good cash cow and maybe keeper if he gets back to his best.

A suggestion as added flexibility look at bringing a R/F to forward line and will also help for short term injuries to Berger or Sandy both having injury problems.  Cox, Nat, Roughead and Ryder were in the 6 top scoring forwrads last year so you will not loose scoring capabilities.

Rate 7.5/10

Yeh that's how I feel. Might go Sylvia to Ryder and drop someone somewhere else. Having al these ruck an as fwds makes it nearly silly not to pick them. They seem to be a lot more consistent then fwds. I was thinking varcoe to nic nat whenever he gets back to his best. Id better start Ryder though because I reckon  essendon will improve and so will Ryder.

I think you are on the right track.
As seems to be the favour of previous suggestions, I'd look at Ryder and T.Menzel for Sylvia & Varcoe.
I also like the Ziebell choice. I'm certain one of the kanga mids is going to breakout this year, especially with Boomer missing the first 6 games. Will it be Ziebell, Cunnington, Bastinac or Atley? Watch the preseason form.

Thanks for the feedback. But I think there is a lack of good rookie fwds so I think I'll stick with Varcoe. Have to make room elsewhere I think
