As a midfield player:

He was the 49th best midfielder last year with an average of 97.3 in SC.

In order for him to be a keeper he should end up in the top 8 ranked midfielders in 2013. This means he needs to average more then 117.7 based on last years averages.

This is an increase of 20.4 points per round with the chance of him playing forward a little bit as well like last year in a team that i doubt will be top 8. So the answer clearly is NO!!

As a forward:

This is very different. He ranked 12th out of the players who are available as forwards in 2013 ... obviously he wasn't a DPP player in 2012 ... and neither were many of the rucks who now have DPP status.

As we now have only 6 on starting forwards this means he would need to improve his average better then 103.7 which is what Roughead averaged in 2012.

I think this is quite likely providing Voss lets him play 95% in the midfield all season. So as a forward, yes he is a keeper potentially.
