Heyy guys, need a bit of help with who to replace embley with.. i feel as though he will be getting the vest a bit in 2013 and a rookie may be better for him. I have already got Omeara, Crouch, Viney and Wines.

he just broke his own time trial record so i don't think he will get a vest much seems very fit

Tom Mitchell, Kane Mitchell or Troy Menzel.

Good replacement is the guy who's named round one without a green jacket ;) Though I'd keep Embley anyway and if he is struggling or gets vested just trade him to a hot rookie ::)

Embley won't get vested unless he gets injured again. He's a vital part of the Eagles best 22

What I'm doing is starting with a guns/rooks midfield. Then after 2 Rds i'll trade my worst performing premo (highest BE) too a mid-pricer (200-300k) with a low BE. This could be Embley.

E.g trade Swan for 690k - Embley 260k = 430k
Three weeks later
Trade Embley 400k - Swan 600k = -230k

You make 230k and only miss out on Swans scores for 3 weeks. This allows u to upgrade quicker.

That could be 30-40 points a round tho...

I think you should replace Embly with Embley, one of the better midpricers this year imo  ;)

I can't think of any rookie that would have less vest risk than Embley.

yeah but it would allow you to upgrade quicker meaning a stronger team earlier. This would make those points up and then some

That seems to be the question .. early points vs a fully upgraded team earlier than others

It would actually be better to make that money with 2x Rooks
Greene, Magner, Horsely, Zorko, Giles only took 2 price rises to make 130-150k profit
If you downgrade two after RD4 you will have 260-300k profit and still get Swans scores

and if you can wait another week its looking more like 180-200k profit per rook

Personally i would be using 2x trades after RD 2 to fix up my rookies, then downgrading them after RD4 and then upgrade to a premium in RD 5

The only problem with this is we would need fresh rookies to start getting games in RDs 4-5

Bring on the rooks  .. might not be so bad if a few we like dont come in straight away
