I'd give you around 7/10 mate - even taking pre-NAB cup monitoring unknowns into account, but with a 'current status' bias if you know what I mean??  ;)

Backs: all good - rookies unknown quantities but likely you'll change these closer to season kick-off so no biggie

Mids: hmm, very interesting - will be interesting to see how the change from 6 to 8 on the field will play out - lots of unknowns for everyone with this for 2013 but I like what I think your idea is here a lot - just be interesting to see if you can generate enough cash through the season to upgrade your other lines going premium heavy in your mids!!  ;)

Rucks: no issues - is Gawn at basement price? (otherwise would bet that you will swap by season's start)  ;)

Fwds: a lot of risk in this line and basically where I've 'deducted' 2pts from your score of 10 - queries on all of Martin, Cloke, Sylvia, Macaffer, Kerridge ... basically everyone bar Buddy!!!  :o   ;)

so you're banking you're whole SC season on your fwd-line doing well - you could be anywhere from top1k down to the 100,000s!!! Gutsy! not quite an 'all or nothing' strategy but you must like going 'all-in' a fair bit in Texas hold'em i'm gathering??  ;)

Jokes aside, good luck mate!  :)

I would give your team a 7.5 /10 as it is strong in some areas and weak in others.
Backs: Great premuim backs you will need to see how the Rookies go in the NAB Cup.
MIDS : you spent plenty on this line i would go one less premium here. Thompson is the player to leave out as he is too inconsistent. Maybe look at Luke ball or another rookie who is a DPP.
Rucks seems to be ok although i prefer Goldy instead of Mummy.
Fwds  Not sure about about Sylvia seems to be better options out there no room for Varcoe or Knights.

Apart from that you have a decent team :) :)

Each time I see someone have Sylvia in there team almost everyone says to change him out, and I'm struggling to understand why.

Yes he only averaged 81 last season, which is certainly not enough to be a keeper, but the 3 previous years he averaged 90, 88 and 96 so he certainly has the scoring ability.

In 2012 he went in to the season underdone after being injured during preseason, and because of this only averaged 49.8 from his first 6 games of the season. In his remaining games (11 of them) he averaged 98, topping the 100 barrier 6 times and getting 90's twice. That is certainly good enough to be a keeper forward.

If he had averaged 98 for all of last season that would have put him in 12th place for forward averages this season, ahead of players like Rockliff and Steve Johnson who many seem to be considering. Being priced at an average of 81 he will at least make you a fair bit of money if you then decide to upgrade him to a higher averaging player later on.

1 premo def light, 1 premo mid heavy, Rucks are fine, FWDS are fine (i wouldnt choose those rooks but they are fine)

there's 8 spots in your mid that you wanna fill with the best mids (there's about 10 or so that'll go 120+) and you've got 4.

Thommo to mundy/fyfe (your choice, 100-105ish and upgrade to a proper Premo), swallow to Ball (easy upgrade later) that'll free up a ton of money to upgrade a defender/fwd player.

dislikes:
dunno about Bock just yet, i've read he's doing some light running but is he gonna be solid enough to start the season.
Martin. 50/50 on this guy, i've read he's been tearing it up and all that and hope his mind is in a good place. could avg 105.
Cloke. Can he get back to his best??

Likes:

Colin Sylvia - In his last 11 games, he averaged 98, and 116 in last 3.

Mumford. Love the guy, had a showerty year last year and i reckon he'll get back to his best. 110+
