Welp, Gen 6 of Pokemon has been announced and is scheduled for an October release. I feel like this is way too soon for another game but oh well.

This is the teaser...yep...3D. Hopefully it's not just a money grab that will ruin the franchise. Hopefully. The new starters look really plain too. :-\

EDIT: Just saw some fanart for the final forms, not sure if they'll actually look like that but if they do that's not as bad as I thought.

Remade each game for DS and added new maps and places but just kept the pokes :P

Most of the new ones I saw just looked like reinvented versions of previous unpopular pokemon. That said, when you've made some 600 of them its bound to get unoriginal

All those starters look pretty shower, both in their starting and final forms.

I still think they should have gone with Pokemon Pink and Purple.  :P

I actually like the look of the Fire and Water starters (the grass one just looks like a grassy Oshawott...). Every time a new Pokemon has been introduced since Gen 3, the same complaints keep coming up. If you're a true Pokemon fan, I'm sure you'll fall in love with them soon enough.
All I know is, I'm excited as flower!

I really wasn't sure how they were going to make a frog look like a beast, but they've managed to pull it off.

The more I look at it, the more the final form of the water starter looks like Thunderus...

Might be the first time I go with the fire starter for my first playthrough.
