Nice article, i have heard that these guys are bringing out more and more articles.

Boyd is a worry as he gets alot of his pocessions from a 1-2 Hb and then a kick (which usually goes to the opposition)

You can disregard Murphy and ROKs SD as they both wore the vest.

IMO get Cotchin not Boyd

Windigo

Still going Boyd been dominating for 3 years and I don't expect much of a drop off.

More of a reflection on who was good last year for me. Beams listed as the best pick and no shot he will be in my team. Mundy pick 14 and locked.

I will be using the though process for mid season upgrades though.

IMO Cotchin > Watson > Boyd > Pendlebury

just got a hunch Pendles might get injured again

Haha mine is nearly the opposite of that.

Pendles > Boyd > Cotchin > Watson

Pendles is surely a lock for most people at his price? priced at 110 due to his leg injury and should go back to 115-120 easily.

Cotchin only 2k more expensive and averaged 119 in his second half of the year... Watson 11k more expensive, averaged 116 if you take away his last 3 games!

SydneyRox

Some really good articles on here - the boys obviously do some good research.

You can't just take Jobe's last 3 games away though, they weren't injury affected or anything.

Pendles averaged 113.4 if you remove his sub affected 59. That's more than Watson and Cotchin and he is cheaper than both.

Look at it this way and tell me who you'd rather...

1. Scott Pendlebury - $568,700 / 113.4 average in 2012 / 116.6 average in 2011.

2. Trent Cotchin - $570,200 / 110.7 average in 2012 / 93.6 average in 2011.

3. Jobe Watson - $579,400 / 112.5 average in 2012 / 99.5 average in 2011.

And as for Cotchin averaging 119 in the second half of the year... Rockliff averaged 121 in the last 12 rounds of 2011. I'm not saying that Cotchin will end up like Rocky, but having a strong second half of the season doesn't always guarantee a massive improvement in scores. To be honest, I think that Cotchin will average 115+ next year, but I'll play it safe and upgrade to him to see if he can back it up.

Windigo

I've got Beams & Swan locked in, so I don't really want another magpie in the midfield.  :-\

But they are good numbers Adam.  ;)

I don't think there's anything wrong with 3 Uber Pies.

I've definitely got Swan, Ablett and Pendles locked.

Still deciding which 2 out of Boyd, Beams, Murphy, Redden and Mundy to go with. :-\

Windigo

Hm, I've currently got Boyd in over Pendles.  :-\
