I have heard that Shannon is lighting up the training track...But I do have a soft spot for Varcoe. So I'd select Travis, should have good JS and is tipped for dt friendly role off half back and could net 70-80 points a game.

Okay:

Option 1: Go with a 3 premium defense, (the 3 G's), Staker a D4, Embley as M6, 4 premium fwd line Cox as F1 & Martin F4 with Varcoe at F5.

Option 2: 4 premium defense, 3 G's + Stanley, Varcoe as M6 over Embley, 3 premium FWD line, Zorko over Cox & Knights at F4. Then Staker at F5

Sorry if this is confusing.  :P

I like option 1 personally.

Yeah Option 1. Better DEF rookies than FWD rookies atm. However I'd try move Staker to the FWD line.

DEF: Goddard Gibbs Hanley Hartlett D.Pearce/Thurlow Pittard (Docherty Terlich)
MID: Swan/GAJ Pendles Redden Jack Mundy Embley Wines O'Meara (Crouch Viney)
RUC: A.Sandilands/Goldstein Berger (Gawn McBean)
FWD: Cox/Christensen Rockliff Martin Sylvia Knights Staker (Growden Lee)

Option 1: Pearce, GAJ, Goldy, Christo
Option 2: Thurlow, Swan, Sandi, Cox

Windigo

I'd like to see how Pearce goes first, I wouldn't read too much into the thurlow talk, only 18... :-\

But I like option two the best. But Swanny & GAJ in the same team would be the best though!  :P

Heppell (90) + Watson (112) + Cotchin (114) + S. Johnson (103) + Macaffer (62)
vs
Grimes (95) + Redden (108) + Embley (87) + Robinson (101) + McEvoy (92)

Number 2... just.

N.Fyfe (M5) + C.Knights (F5) + 54k

J.Redden (M5) + Rookie (F5) + 127k

Recon I'll go Knighter and Fyfer, both have pretty big upside with little risk now

Allan Christensen + Steve J

Martin + Wright

That's tough, but I'm not a fan of Christensen and I like Dusty, so Martin and Wright for me.

Did you read the Deck of DT on Wright, tbag?

Have to go Fyfe and Knights bud. Fyfe will score similar to Redden this year and Knights will beat any rookie by atleast 10 points

I honestly don't see Fyfe going 110+ this year.  :o

Me either, I think 100-105 will be his range this year. I'm using him as a stepping stone to someone like Watson or Cotchin, but if he does breakout and average 110, even better. ;)

Windigo

I agree, 100-105 seems about right.

To get over 110+ average he has to eclipse years of Sidey (104) Stanton (106), even Deledio just got 110. All had awesoem years., Stanton morel like half a year.  :P

That's true, and when you look at it like that, a 110+ average seems highly unlikely. He's not in my team yet, but I think he represents good value at 458k.
