The Bull pips Embers, while I'd rather Boyd over Murphy.

But I'd go option one. Moloney should score just enough more to warrant selecting Murphy.  ;)

actually got to go Moloney at this stage

Embley + Watts

v

Murphy + Stevenson/Docherty (goodes would be on field)

Goddard Grimes Gibbs Hartlett Watts Pittard (Goodes, Terlich)
Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Moloney, Embley,Wines, Lonergan,Omeara (Crouch, Viney)

Murphy + Stevenson easily. I don't rate Watts as a player or as a DTer, but let's just say at absolute best case scenario he averages 90.

Embley (85) + Watts (90) = 175
vs
Murphy (110) + Stevenson (65) = 175

That's best case scenario for Watts and it's still even. I'd go the safety of Murph and Stevo, it looks much better for your structure as well.

I'm not a fan of the stacked backline. VS gave us more mid spots, so why not fill them up instead, that's my reasoning anyway.  :P

Option 2.  8)

your probably right guys, i just saw soo much value in the mids with tonnes of good rookies. But my strategy has always been stack the mids. not sure why im going against that.

might even look to strengthen the mid, just too many good mids. Im going to look to upgrade heavily early there though.

+1
I'm going weaker MIDS this year, purely because of the limited rooks in other fields

Embers 86, Byrnes 73
vs
Longeran 70, Cloke 93
Longergan and Cloke, easily.

Robbo = 101
Wright = 93

blues boy

Birchall and Mumford and Moloney with $60,000

or

I. Maric and Fyfe and Vlastiun/Tambling with $80,000

stew42

FIrst option you end up with 2.5 premos
Second one you get 1.5 premos.

First one for me

Birch 89, Mumford 91, Moloney 89
vs
Maric 98, Fyfe 100, Tambling 78, cash 3.883

=269 vs 276+3.883

option (b) wins with and without cash factored in.

How about instead of fyfe and vlastiun/tamblin i choose moloney and Heath Shaw/Hamish Hartlett?

first one easy.

Mummy is a keeper ruck, Birchall is very solid and a keeper back.

Moloney could go 90 and be a stepping stone to a real premo.

90 90 90 is nice and solid.

Why sacrifice points for keeper status? With the amount of trades available to us this season, we can afford to start with many non-keepers (smokeys, uniques etc).

100, 100 and 75 > 90, 90 and 90
