Pendles / Wines / Varcoe

vs

Ball / Embley / Mummy or Goldy + a little cash

Pendles 118, Wines 81, Varcoe 75
vs
Ball 85, Embers 87, Goldy 95

=274 vs 267

Yeah I'd go the first option at this stage.

Fyfe + Sylvia

Fyfe (103) + Sylvia (90)
vs
Murphy (109) + Siposs (76)
vs
Boyd (115) + Knights (75)

Fyfe + Sylvia for me.

Moloney, Goldstein, Riewoldt
vs
Boyd, Maric, Lee

Lee will be sitting on the bench, Macaffer pushed onto the ground as F6.

What do you reckon, Ads?

Moloney (89) + Goldstein (86) + Riewoldt (94 - before you offload him early) = 269
vs
Boyd (115) + Maric (96) + Lee (55) = 266

The top combo wins marginally on points, but you get 2 keepers in the second and Macaffer should be on the field IMO. I may slo be underestimating Lee. Option 2 for me.

Why not go someone cheaper than Maric, then use that cash to turf Lee? But keep Boyd, he is THE shower.  8)

Hartlett + McEvoy + Martin
vs
Atley + Cox + Robinson

All 3 have huge upside.

cheers lads, will go option (b) then.

Heppel, Monfries, Moller
vs
Suban, Selwood, Currie

Heppel > Suban... but Suban has nice potential
Selwood > Monfries... but both have great potential
Currie > Moller, but won't play as my other two rucks or R3 will - or, Roughead subed to ruck, and bring on Fwd Rookie from bench ---< so, upgrading this R4 isn't particularly useful, save for may get me a touch more cash.

Won't include the ruck portion
Heppell 95, Monfries 85
vs
Suban 68, Selwood 106, +5 for Currie

=180 vs 179

yeah I'd go with the first option, unless Suban shows very good nab cup form.

RookieDTer

Thanks, it was almost feeling like I was trading for trading sake.

Broughton and Walker
Grimes and Cloke.
The difference in cost is <$1k.

Broughton (92) + Walker (94)  = 186

Grimes (97) + Cloke (92)   = 189

Much of a muchness imo, all should improve this year but Grimes + Cloke just takes the cake for me.

One from me:
Broughton + J.Viney + Duffield
Knights + Toumpas + Grimes

Broughts 87, Tex 93
vs
Grimes 95, Trav 93
=Grimes and Trav easily imo

I'd probably be going the first option. Knights is rubbish.

Windigo

First option.

With option you get 2 solid contributors, while from past experiences, the extra cash to pay for a player like Toumpas isn't worth it unless he averages 90+.

Duff-Man hopefull will average around Grimes' level or just below, I'd see how Broughton goes for committing..
