So you're saying tbag if Australia offered you a spot in the T20 team you would say no? Well that's absolute crap!
People are allowed to keep their standards if they wish, we don't all have to be sell outs

Who wants to face Malinga yorker at 150k and the next ball is a 120k yorker, stuff that, last over needing 8 to win, Steyn bowls wide un-hittable yorkers, stuff that

Oh, did Michael Clarke and Ricky ponting really snub CA for spots on the Australian T20 squad :o

CrowsFan

Yes but they were already playing for Australia. What I'm is if CA came knocking on your door tonight asking you to play for the Australian T20 side you would say yes. For the simple fact that you are getting to play for your country, which is pretty much every child's dream to do. No way would you say sorry CA I don't want to play for Australia!

tbagrocks

I feel as if i'm being cheated and it's almost un-Australian to be waiting until 7pm for a cricket game :o

Why can't it be sooner? Oh yeah right ... money! :P Proving CA does not care about the cricket loving public they just want your money

Sure yeah and that's why they have flames and gimmicks because the game is so entertaining ;)

The question was why do we have to wait till 7 to get a game, why not 4 or 5

CrowsFan

Seriously tbag you are so deluded and living in your own little bubble where you think everything you say is right. The majority of the fans these days do like T20 cricket, not every Crow is going to become a superstar (sadly), music isn't terrible these days it has just changed as it always does (play Nirvana in the 1940's and everyone would have hated it). Seriously just accept that other people have opinions and yours is not always the right one or in the majority ::)

tbagrocks

Sure mate, let me say there are still plenty of us that want a decent cricket match during the day, that is Australian. Just because you young folk have short attention spans is no reason to ruin cricket for the rest of us (majority ;))

I never said I didn't like watching T20 though imo playing it is almost a waist as you could just play another 10-15 overs and it feals right.

I do enjoy it but I enjoy an ODI more, what i'm saying is why does it need to be on so late as many of us like our afternoon cricket, the answer is money! IMO there should be more day ODI's

CrowsFan

Thing is tbag I actually agree with you that I prefer ODI's over T20's, but I'm fairly sure we are in the minority on that. The reason they would play them at night is because it gives everyone a chance to get home from work have a little rest and then head out to the cricket, meaning more people attend. If they started the game at say 3 or 4 a lot of people would be at work and not able to attend until the match was almost over.

Yes obviously that is do with money getting more people to attend, but also it is letting more people watch and enjoy it.

tbagrocks

Yeah I know i'm just being stubborn, I want my afternoon cricket >:(

i realize it has to be at night and it's just two silly meaningless games (if it meant something Clarke might play)

I am not certain on more prefering 20 to 50 overs though and really if they do then they are not real cricket fans they just enjoy the entertainment of it, which if perfectly fine (sort of, people should not need gimmicks and entertainment) but hopefully it does not become the norm :-[

Bring on friday 8)

APPARENTLY they are gonna rest Hughes for the final three ODIs... one or two I can understand, but THREE?

They are handing out games like a sl*t hands out her you-know-what ;)

i didn't read the story on the link, so they may have already said this.. on the cricket show they said Hughes is missing the one-dayers because he's going over to India to get used to the pitches and conditions early

tbagrocks

Starc needs to realize that lefties do bat as well as bowl :P

tbagrocks

Beats me why this guy didn't play game one, i'd even like to see him get an Odi
