From the Guiness book of Records 2013:
Ivo Karlovic (Croatia), who stands 2.08m tall, served a ball at 251kmph in a doubles match against Germany in the Davis Cup on 5 March 2011.

The fastest serve by a woman is 209kmph by Brenda Schultz-McCarthy on the 15 July 2006. Matched by Venus Williams in 2008.

For some reason, neither of those seem correct to me.

Edit: Wiki says otherwise. Sam Groth hit 263kmph and Sabine Lisicki hit 210kmph.

Sam Groth broke the world record for the fastest serve bet hit three times in the one match at a tournament in China in 2012, but they only list the fastest one.

Very nervous moment when my Men's champion pick is 2 points away from defeat and receiving against the 2nd best server at the Open. :-\

Ferrer takes the 3rd 7-5!! >:D

OH HELL YEAH!

This is gonna be a demoralising defeat for Almagro, to make it worse he looks like he's injured the left leg. :\

It's a shame that he'll be playing Berdych.

I was on Murray through all of 2012, finally got reward at the US Open. But i feel like Ferrer is gonna do something special in the semi, whether it be DJoker or Berdych.

Murray's still my number one, but I'd like to see Ferrer finally win one.

Berdych better lift his game than he is getting crushed.

Jay

Berdych on his way back! Hopefully he makes a game of it!

My Chumps

Go Berdych!

Anyone ever been to see him live, and seen the Berdych army? A bunch of about 20 lads and ladettes go to all of his games in Australia and always passionately support him. They've created chants and shower for him, it's brilliant  :D

PowerBug

I really like the Berdych forehand, it's a very wristy action he has and it's very unpredictable. Already seen Djoker puzzled a couple of times tonight. I like it 8)
