Firstly it is unique, which can be viewed as good or bad. In this case its both.

Bad (or stuff I do not like)
- Travis Varcoe: Should not be taking up a midfield spot in my opinion and as such should be moved into the forward line at the expense of probably Bock

- Nathan Bock: Might not be right for round 1, also a bit too pricey and I rate LeCras ahead of him. Personal opinion but I think its an either/or for LeCras and Bock.

- Mark Nicoski: Is his role a high scoring one (high scoring in the sense he will go up in value) if so keep him otherwise ditch him and look at a Menzel, Stringer or other forward rookie.

- Nic Naitanui: Like Bock may not be right for round 1, positive of this is that if he is not right for round 1 then you can pick Cox who will have more game time.

This one stands out but why no Ablett, this is where bad unique comes in. The man is a jet and essentially a perma-lock for captain. A must have.

Good (or stuff I like)
- Chris Yarran: Really rate him and could flourish under Malthouse, ala Leon Davis in 2011.
- David Mundy: Might not get much love due to the Fyfe competing for that value-based midfield spot.
- Luke Shuey: Unique and can definitely go that next step.
- Dustin Martin: Apparently tearing it up and I think people will be gun shy on him hence it is a good unique.

Ringo

Reasonably solid team:

DEF: Like the uniqueness of Yarran but starting to see him in a few teams now.  Should blossom under Mick's coaching, Nice rookie picks

MID: Think Varcoe is a luxury in mids and should be in forward line - As a mid pricer look at Ball.

RUCK: Watch the progress of Natanui prior to round 1.  Would look at McBean or Rowe as an alternative to Currie to give you the DPP switch with Ryder,

FOR: Risky with LeCras, Bock and Nicoski all coming back from injury would seriously consider replacing 1 or 2 of them.

You also have no DPP if wishing to take advantage of rolling lock outs.

Overall rate this team 7/10 but solid base to improve from.

Like this team a lot more mate.

Would still look at replacing one of Witts or Currie with McBean or Rowe to take advantage of Ruck DPP.  If not going to do this then better options than Ryder forward.

As a suggestion for C/F DPP Troy Menzell but your team.  Do not know whether you have looked at other boards but here is the link to the full list of DPP for 2013 with current prices that I compiled.

Rate this team now 8.5/10 Good improvement.

PICCOLLO

One of the better teams ive seen bcos uve addressed the lack of fwd rookies that will get solid game time. Make sure you have a r/f link and consider downgrading a premo mid to bolster ur backline as there are a few rookies there i wouldnt be counting on for regular games.

Hank2011

I like yarrans price and will be watching his pre season closely under malthouse.
Nic Nat in for Goldstein. Nic Nat is a lock.
Interesting mid price fwd structure but very few keepers there. Chris knights is a spaz. Le cras huge upside but was hoping for a more heavily discounted price. Cloke..... No thanks.

What about  Mr Bean

basil3134

Mr Bean is now R/F.
Strengthen forwards with Stevie J instead le frog; knights to Varcoe ?
but cutting costs in midfield shedding Selwood and Wines for Del Santo (M4 still undecided) and cheap rookie DPP (Atkins) ,
cosmetic change in backline one PA for another PA player to save a few $ss

Ringo

Very solid team now.

Only issue I have is with Dal Santo - Gutsy call - Will he struggle without Goddard and with a team on the slide.

Also keep an eye on Kennedy and Dwyer to see which one Pies promote to Senior List as the selection may offer you a DPP alternative to Atkins at a slightly cheaper price.

Like your team structures well done.

As a suggestion maybe change Varcoe for a rookie forward and replace Dal Santo with another prem.

NDS was an alternative for either Shuey or Judd who I could not quite afford, but thanks  Ringo for advice re Varcoe as I could easily absorb a cheap forward as an F7 or F8 assuming Staker is fit  from R1,  giving me the chance to regain a quality prem for M4

I really appreciate little helpful tips. 2 years ago when I 1st got exposed to S.C. a friend in the league I joined as a "newbie"gave me hints or tried to but I didn't appreciate at the time their worth eg Bubble boys  and cash cows.

Thanks for your help Ringo
