I know it's a bit off topic, but Nic Maddinson looked good in that OD game the other day. Smashed 7 6s to make something like 85 in 70 balls to win the game for NSW. I think he could be a good fit into the team in 3-4 years when Clarke/Watson retire.

Probably far too much depth already but, when does Kane Richardson get a look? Maybe as an ODI? S

He had a look but was sent back to fix his run up after being banned from bowling for running on the danger zone against Sri Lanka. Although he has seemed to fix that and taken back to back 5-fors in the Ryobi Cup.

Shaun Marsh racked up a 100 for Australia A against the England Lions before retiring hurt with a hamstring injury which will unfortunately rule him out for the remainder of the Summer.

Well no one else seems to be able to bat against the Indians, but Watson made a run a ball 84 in the first innings, then caught behind. We collapsed to be out for just over 200, where we were put in to follow on. Watson then goes out and makes a run a ball 60 before being run out. Looks like he is finding form at the top of the order when no one else makes any score.....

With Warner in considerable doubt for the first Test, then Shane Watson will more than likely open you would think.
To be fair, Cowan is also making some runs up the top aswell.

Cowan and Watson to open in the first Test.

Starts in four days, Warner unlikely to be 100% for it

Probably be:

Watson
Cowan
Hughes
Khawaja
Clarke
Wade
(all-rounder)
Starc
Siddle
Pattinson
Lyon

Inverarity has hinted that the Aussies will go in 3 seam 1 spin for the first test.

What's the chances of either Faulkner of Cutting getting a 6-8 batting gig?

Surely Faulkner out of those two comes first.

Praying he makes the Ashes squad over Henriques tbh.

Dam batting struggling again, not looking good for the test

Some people might not agree with me but I reckon the Australian side and selectors should work on Dave Warner's leg spin. Ever since Warney Aussies love leg spinners. I reckon if we work on his bowling we can use him to take the all rounder position Watson use to fill. I feel Watson can't/shouldn't bowl if he wants to stay in the side. Too much of a workload is killing him
