I agree, Cowan has been flying under the radar with his mediocrity for a while now.

Watson, Ponting, Hughes & Hussey's "news worth" stories are keeping the heat off him.  ???

This is true I think, he really isnt carrying his weight at the moment.

On a different note, the Kiwis are currently 31-7 batting first against the Saffas in their first test.

Vernon Philander with a 5-fer in only 25 balls :o
That is incredible!  :o

And make that all out for 45 after only 19.2 overs!!! :o :o :o And after the Kiwis won the toss and batted. Steyn also with his 300th wicket.

NZ's third lowest test score ever. Smith didn't know whether he would have batted or bowled in the first session if he had won the toss, now he gets to do both :o

Sorry to hijack this thread, but these figures are just remarkable.

Mike forcing Johnson to take that single to win the match for the team rather than taking the winning runs for himself is exactly why Australia loves you Huss, i hope that mentality isn't lost with the team

Toga

Congratulations on a terrific career Huss, a real team man to the last ball of your last innings. You'll be hard to replace!

Justin Bieber

Should of let Hussey open the batting!

+1 Exactly right. Huss has been Mr Nice guy since he joined the team. Not to  mention the amount of times he has saved our arses like he did again today.

Hussey is going to be sorely missed, as he is still so much inform, unlike Punter who we havent missed at all.

Tominator

And the selectors dump him from the ODI side? We pay our money to see the big guns, not the Australia A side...

But goodbye and good luck Mr Cricket. You were my favourite player to play the game and I am devastated I won't be able to watch you play again, but I'm so glad you went out on top. Day 5 of the Adelaide Ashes Test in 06, and that six you hit to get your 100 against the Saffers last month are two days of cricket I will never forget having witnessed both in the stands at Adelaide Oval... Australia are forever indebted to you

Goodbye and good luck    <3   <3

I'll remember "that 6" the ball after Clarke made his double ton, on 94 to bring up his own century on day one Adelaide, the only day I went ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yeah what the fridgin frog is wrong with our selectors :o Don't they even realize that more people would go to see Mr Cricket for the last time at their home ground :o

An interesting read.

Doubt it's true but if it is... interesting.
That's not true, it's a cricket satire blog.

Funny read though.
