Marsh is a T20 jet.

fixed
Agree with Cic 100%. So he should be in the test side very soon. ::) :P
Agree with SS's assessment of Australian cricket selectors thinking!

Master Q

Going to have to find a new favourite player now. Hussey became my No.1 after Gilly, Roy and Warne left.

Peter Siddle is looking like my No.1 option. Just has to play every test to get the role.

Tominator

I like that Cic,

My preferred batting line up would be

Cowan
Warner
Hughes
Clarke
Khawaja
Ferguson

unfortunately Watson doesn't fit in the side, but he is without doubt one of the best T20 and ODI players in the world. Warner and Clarke can bowl more

Or you could teach the 4 bowlers at the bottom to bowl better. ;) How often did South Africa use their 5th bowler in the previous tour? ;)

That's what I'd do, Wato's still better than Cow

Watto might be better than Cowan, but Warner and Cowan are a better combo than Warner and Watson.

Grazz

I was a bit surprised at 1st then his explanation of knowing it was the time, Family, choose when you go etc summed it all up. Big loss to the team with an Ashes tour around the corner. Sth Africa routed our top 3 so often having us 3 for no alot even after Khalis went down and other issues. England has played well in India something they havent done in a long while and their bowling lineup is pretty solid. Was comforting knowing Hussey was in the team, assurance if you like . Clarke had a great 2012, outstanding, saved our butt's a few times against SA. Our top 3 isnt solid and now Hussey has departed and we need to fill that void im stressing even more about the Ashes now, weve got a fair bit to get sorted. Anyways thanks for the memories Mr Cricket, hope you have a great future.

Warner should bowl more imo, may leak a few runs and bowl a few loose balls, but he always looks like taking a wicket, it's useless having a bowler who can hit a 10c piece every time if he isn't going to get a batsmen out

Every body's favorite T20 star Davy Warner, the guy is so good he could make Sri Lanka look bad

Dave will be the best opener since Hados, frog he's good, I love Davie Warner and no T20 bs will change that

Davie/Davey, how the frog do I say Davey? Will be the best in the one dayers too

If T20 ever replaces the one ay internationals I will kill my self

In theory perhaps, but I still think we should be playing Warner/Watson if we can only have 2. It doesn't really matter if Cowan/Warner 'works better' when Cowan has been averaging mid twenties since the Brisbane test.

Windigo

I agree, Cowan has been flying under the radar with his mediocrity for a while now.

Watson, Ponting, Hughes & Hussey's "news worth" stories are keeping the heat off him.  ???

This is true I think, he really isnt carrying his weight at the moment.

On a different note, the Kiwis are currently 31-7 batting first against the Saffas in their first test.

Vernon Philander with a 5-fer in only 25 balls :o
