this just a structure i'm toying with also if some of the defender rookies do well it could really pay off

TEAM NAME: FIGJAM
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, J. Pittard, B. Staker, L. Osborne, B. Goodes (S. Docherty, S. Colquhoun)
MID: D. Swan, G. Ablett jnr, T. Cotchin, T. Greene, N. Fyfe, J. Toumpas, O. Wines, B. Crouch (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
RUC: T. Goldstein, M. Leuenberger (J. Witts, M. Daw)
FWD: L. Franklin, T. Rockliff, D. Thomas, M. Robinson, J. Lewis, T. Cloke (T. Lee, B. Kennedy)
CASH LEFT: $61,600

It is interesting for sure, widely known that there seem to be plenty of def roo

kies but very light on fwd rookies.

Think there are better options than Greene and Fyfe, maybe turn Toumpas into a bottom price mid rookie and along with your leftover cash get guns the next level up.

kilbluff1985

did what you said and noticed Priddis is underpriced a bit also not sure who i like out of him or Fyfe now lol

Priddis won't be top 8 mid and Lewis and cloke won't by top 6 forwards. Not for me.

hahah im a huge fan of this, the already low scoring defenders have been reduced and theyve given us another high scoring mid. could also work due to there being so many def rookies. yeah the def rookies wont make as much money...but the points youll score will be immense. Im looking at something like 3/5/1/5 premiums in each position for my team, with Josh Kennedy or varcoe maybe rounding out my forwards.

If you get the DEF rookie selections right and they ACTUALLY play consecutive games and average around the 70-75 mark then it could work wonders :) dont see anything wrong with it, good risk to take

obviously theres some debate over players like cloke, lewis, priddis etc but than can be fixed come NAB cup performances. i think the general structure is a good idea and could perform well for a team aiming for overall

Windigo

Going from past experiences, unless you completely luck out. Going with an 'out of the box structure' will end in disaster or it could make you season, but the chances are slim at best.  :-\

For all we know, Pittard could flop, get injured or average only 50. The other rookies might not get games then your burning early trades for other rookies that may be playing one week but not the next.

Kellogscrunchynut

Seems like an idea to put in a secondary team, wouldn't try it competitively.

Maybe downgrade someone like Thomas to Broughton so that you can swap Broughton into the DEF with Staker if need be.

Im a fan of a similar structure. I have 3 prem defenders with the option to bring Broughton back to make it 4. think only 2 prems may be pushing the limits as others have said.
